Been thinking along the same lines myself. I have a bunch of hawksport stuff i would like to part with and an older J.R. radio, I may just take it to I.R.C.H.A. this year and stick everything on the trunk of my car with a free sign.
I now have a gasser and there is no turning back to nitro. ken

I can’t remember how often I pass this topic cause I thought it was just an attention getter. Now that I know what it’s all about, I would like to say that I was very surprised. Very generous offering by Raptorman and good to know that kind people still exists. I’ve given parts, that I no longer need, to locals that I happen to run into myself at the field. But can’t say I’ve shipped it to anyone. That’s just awesome!

Ok I will be the first to say that I would like to be considered for this gift. I have been reading this and other forums since christmas (yea I got the air hog fever) I was wanting to make the perfect informed decision when it comes to what heli to purchase since it would be the only purchase I could make. But after reading the forums enough I learned that you needed to start with a heli that was cheap to fix since I WOULD be crashing. I know I needed sim practice so I couldn't wait any longer and I bought a used hondybee FP. I am about out of money buying spare parts so upgrading to a better/bigger heli will have to wait. But I am getting the hang of it which is where everybody started. (I now have more respect for anyone that can talk and hover nose in..LOL) I am going to use this as my learning bird so I don't kill a trex or other upper end heli on my first day.

A gift like this would make stepping into a ARF larger heli a small step compared to breaking the bank trying to get a heli and a tx at the same time. If I get chosen to receive this setup I will in turn hand my learning bird down to a beginner wanting to get started also.

Thanks for your generosity now I need someone to watch over my shoulder to tell me what I am doing wrong. So the learning curve is cheaper.

I got to say, it's really a breath of fresh air that no one has taken it yet; shows some real good character on many peoples behalf.

That is Cool

I have a Controler I have been waiting to give out to a kid trying to get into the hobby. The time will come. Hope the right person gets this! You are a good man. I know how hard it is getting into the hobby, and I was there not three months ago.

Wow very nice. I don't know if I am qualified here nor say I need this because I don't even know what are those for exept for the radio. And I'm not even sure if that radio is good for using with a simulator. I was looking for a place to start and asking questions somewhere around this website and some people adviced me to visit a flying field and talk with the guys there. Also they told me to start with a simulator before anything else.

What helicopter will that radio work for? What brand or model can it control? Can it work with a simulator? Sorry for all the stupid questions.

Had a very nice sunny and warm day sunday,, neighbors were having yard sales, so i figure i would have one my self. i sold a few items, put the hawksport parts box out there and posted FREE on it. 10 different people, mostly kids said, "if you will put it together for me and make sure it flies then i will take it!" i threw it in the trash!! oh, such a society we now live in!! sigh!!! ken
