Avant Aurora - EFX - FX > It's been released, finally the fun begins!

You quote me out of context J D Wilson. I was just referring to the aggressive 3D moves that these machines are capable of. Compared to FAI it would seem mindless and aggressive, but that's just an observation, never meant as a derogatory remark. To sustain such manoeuvers takes incredible skill reflexes.

So in this context machines like the Sylphide or Eagle 3 VPUS are not capable of doing that, I don't think they can take that punishment.

I may be going out on a limb here but....

What are the odds that Augusto is sitting back and possibly attempting to parallel the Align 700 release? Same scenario as with the Synergy release, but this time as effort to get some of the 700n market and save his company?

Just a thought that could be completely off base...

If Augusto does not get the Aurora out before the 700, all of his hopes and dreams will be over. He will still sell a few but nothing like it could have been.

Bottom line, when everybody sees Alan and company flying the 700 at the first fun fly, Ircha, XFC, etc, Align sales will go through the roof.

With the 600N being such a huge success, and most of those 600N pilots improving at record speeds, the next natural step is to move up to a 90. And Align will provide us with the most affordable heli that is the best overall bang for the buck. Yes, Align has had a few issues here and there but for the most part, it has been a very successful and fun heli to own. I think the 700 will only be an improvement over the 600.

It would only do his company harm to try and release his bird the same time Align released theirs. He needs to get his to market ASAP so people can see it in the hands of everyday hobbyists and maybe pull some of the market he lost back. I don't think he is waiting around for that, if he is then he is done.
Don't U mean Jason and company?

Fiveoboy,
You amaze me with your well thought out response. I'm sure you gave this a great deal of thought. Again thanks for your positive input.

Great deal of thought? Nah. I will say that they are more logical than most of your posts.

I spoke with Augusto last night and I am convinced that the kits will be on the market as suggested.

I spoke with him in March of '07 and he had me convinced also. Over a year later and still nothing. You do realize, for about the last year and a half, he's not known for being very truthful. But you are obviously to blinded by the "beauty" of the Aurora to see this.
Happy waiting.

My flock is getting restless !!! Best herd them up and send them to the Align UPGRADE store. Everyone stand in line and be told what to buy. Yes, you need the swash upgrade, and the frame brace set, and the fan, lets not forget the upgraded fly bar holder, clutch liner , but hey, we now offer a blue colored head with matching washout arms . You can lead a sheep to water but -----

Oh yes, Augusto, you are my King Augusto.

Please, Augusto, let me wash your feet Augusto.

You are God's gift to heli's, Augusto.

The coming of the Aurora will eclipse the coming of Christ, Augusto.

I bow down before thee, Augusto.

The Aurora is bestest heli ever.

Pot calling the kettle ...

So please, ...

And if I want to bling the daylight out of my Align POS, it's because I want to.

From a manufacturer's point of view, why does he even want to produce a perfect helicopter. Doesn't even make economic sense.

He should know that some people are willing to pay for the upgrades as long as the damn thing will fly well.

Take one from Align's playbook. They make good $$$ off of their upgrades.

I used to be an Aurora cheerleader, just like you.

It's funny, because not too long ago, I was passionately fending off naysayers just like you.

My my, how it's come full circle.

I'd build and fly whatever is good and AVAILABLE.

I've built birds from Hirobos, MA, Align, TT, Synergy, JR, etc.

So no, I'm NOT just an Align freak.

Hhhmmm.......

Could it be......fr8brkr is really Augusto......pondering......ah, using a different screen name???

It would make sense. Taking a high stance on a mythological heli, promising a release....someday. Always around Aurora's, "I could do this all day!"

LOL

All this BS could be put to bed if Augusto did what he said. Nobody is saying anything negative about the Aurora. In fact, I don't think I have ever heard anything negative about the heli. Most everything I have heard has been good things. The problem is that it's not out yet and Augusto keeps telling everybody it will be out. Over, and over, and over, and over, and over again.

If he would just keep his word even if it was two years down the road, none of this BS would be going on. In fact, he probably would have actually earned alot of respect for being honest.

My Pom Pom's are hanging on the wall - Fact is gentlemen, for what it's worth, I do believe that the machine will be in the hands of the public later this month. I fully appreciate those that disagree with my opinion.
I have nothing vested in this belief other than my familiarity with the machine seeing it flown almost every week , and associated with people that in fact are directly responsible for its pending release. Having said that, I hope for those that feel they have been duped or lied to prior only end up with an Aurora to bang around.

I personally don't want an Aurora anymore. I feel that every time I would fly this machine, it will just remind me of the deceit, disrespect and taken as a fool that came with it, nonetheless owning another heli ie. t700, MA, Raptor etc... may not be as perfect as one might say but will remind you that this is not a perfect world, if they make a mistake they own up to their shortcomings and fix it. It's just good business etiquette, not like some people who can do no wrong and will do whatever it takes to stay on the high horse no matter how absurd he sounds.
Just my opinion.

The last guy who "believed" in a release date bragged that he would cut off one of his balls if the heli didn't release by the end of January as promised. I noticed how quickly his attitude changed when January 31st came and went without a release.
