Avant Aurora - EFX - FX > It's been released, finally the fun begins!

The truth of it is that unless AvantRC comes up with something out of their butts, most of us will be flying a TRex 700 rather than an aurora. I was on the list at Heliproz and was going to be one of the first to get their first batch of their Auroras. That was more than a year ago and 2-3 helicopters later.

QuantumPSI said it all. The most important thing about these helis is when we will be able to get them in our hands. They will fly the same in my hands. My money is on the Align TRex 700N. With their track record, they've been able to deliver. I can't say the same thing about the Aurora.

I'm sick and tired of SEEING videos of the Aurora but not being able to purchase it.

The true comparison will be when you can buy them both off the shelf, set them up the same and fly them back to back.

AvantRC missed their window. The could have had a large hold in the 90 sized market by shipping when promised. It COULD have lived up to the hype. The 700N will outsell the Aurora. Sorry Augusto.

I will NOT be one of those flying a 700N. Truth be told. However, I agree that there will be plenty of folks that do. They will all have the pleasure of being sheep gathered in masses to stand in line to purchase the inevitable upgrades soon to follow its release.

MIKe27,

Once Align is in the testing stage, the helicopter release is pretty much on the way. Anyone that says Augusto is "finalizing" the Aurora all this time is BSing.

At least we'll be up in the air flying! You'll still be waiting for your year and a half old pre-order to be filled. Good luck!

Freestyle

I am not defending Avant RC but has anyone noticed that Century has been late to the table as well with the Freestyle? This has been in development for almost as long as the Aurora! I don't see the same bashing going on. I realize Century hasn't promised release dates like Avant RC has but I wonder why they haven't release the Freestyle yet.

And don't get forget the guys who had to wait on the new Vibe 50 Jr just released. People were crying about there broken promises. Now they have them in hand and apparrently are very happy they waited. There are even guys on their that own Trex Nitro 600s who say that the Vibe 50 flys better and the vibes ooz quality. U know why? because quality takes time. I'm not defending Avant/Carbon Extreme because I do feel they are being a bit extreme when it comes to being perfectionist (nothing is ever perfect). Align on the other hand I think goes to market to quick (current static problem 500 electric). I can't really get mad at align though because they are catering to the new generation, I want it now generation. Therefore they are not that concerneed because the I want now generation will buy all the upgrades later that will be neccessary to keep it in the air. So there are those who have more time than money and those who have more money than time. those with money go get your Align, those with time wait on your Aurora. There are companies to satisfy U both.

I have a feeling its like arguing to the kid who always disagrees no matter what. It's ok, there are no proper comeback lines or post that can negate past actions, so I was expecting the go away line, didn't expect it twice though. Like I said you can defend all you want, but your on the losing team and you should expect to hear what you are hearing. And like you said you formed your own personal opinion and so have we, so I believe we can share ours whether its positive or negative.

Not sure how you define a loser, but I can assure you that you are going along ways to provide a possible answer to that question when posting the type of responses and negative feedback for which you have become a master at. With all respect, when suggesting that we Pro Aurora folks are associated with "losing" or indirectly insinuating that we are losers simply because we believe in a product you are refining what defines a LOSER !

I'm sure the Aurora is a nice heli. I'm sure it's flies great. I'm sure that it will live up to everyone's expectations when it's released.

But to claim it's the best, or the ultimate, or only for the best pilots etc. . . is total BS.

I'm neither pro nor against the Aurora, but all this rubbish you are posting fr8brkr is not doing you any good.

It also does customer relations no good that Augusto constantly delays, and delays, and delays, and . . . you get the picture. It's not good for the spirit of people who hang onto it, who are just basically out to have FUN. You know, have FUN. How much fun exactly are you having with all this waiting?

For what it's worth the only heli that was ever crazy about, what I couldn't wait to get my hands on and build, was the Sylphide. I'm still crazy about the machine to this day - you just see how it hovers.

I swear the AVRO should have taken the Aurora's market if it were priced to compete with the Aurora. The AVRO is basically an aurora but a whole lot better. It deserves the Aurora's market and the shambles at delivery date that Augusto has made . . .

This reminds me of the times I'm in the park and I see a little dog barking at a big dog and the big dog just looks at the little dog like he is an idiot for making all that noise. Why is it always so noisy and personal in this forum? U would think all U had stock or were getting paid by these companies. U go by what U want and be happy and let the other person go by what they want, meet @ the field and go fly and have fun (remember what this hobby is suppose to be about).

Considering you're still waiting for an Aurora, I find deafening irony in that statement.

As long as you're looking into your crystal ball, please do tell us precisely when "your" heli is going to be released.

Fact of the matter is you have NO basis in fact for anything you've said in an attempt to "downgrade" the 700N compared to the Aurora.

It used to be just that, but as of now it's plenty of peoples investments. When someone takes your 100$ for over half a year and no updates or nothing to show for it, you start to get kind of aggravated.

so fr8brkr, have you've tried an AVRO? If you look very closely at it, you'll see it's almost like an Aurora. The profile of the frames are the same, the head's better, and drive train is better . .

I find what your post absurd, because it tells me that you're so high with wanting an Aurora that you can't logically see that you've made a prejudgement. All because the Aurora in the right hands looks good doesn't rule out the possibility that other machines in the right hands would also look good - if not better.
