Just wondering if anybody might be running the same setup as me, the Himax 2025 4200 with 9 tooth pinion and castle creations pheonix 25 esc, what battery works best for you? Im looking for somthing in the 3 to 4 ounce range and like 70mm in lenght to fit in the shogun.

I have a V2. With the Himax 2025 and CC-25 I use the Thunder Power 3S 1320mAh, also the TP 3S 2100mAh for more endurance.

Thanks guys for your input,I decided to try a battery from Apogee its a 1500mah 3s 20c and its working very well so far I cant hardely believe this myself but the battery is not even warm to the touch after a 3 to 4 minute hover but the himax 4200 does get quite hot

HIMAX Hot, Good. Battery Hot, Bad! :)

I've never had problems with that motor and it always runs a bit hot. If you're concerned you could try an aftermarket heatsink. You're smart to keep flight times to 3-4 minutes as you have--you'll extend battery life. I don't want to admit how many batteries I've "puffed" due to trying to get just 30 more seconds of flight time.
