I had purchased by mistake the OS version and just wanted to know which are the parts I will need to buy to go with my YS engine, I will stay with 8:18 ratio.

Thanks in advance to all.

Alex Fong.

I think this is what you need.
MA126-29
MA126-28
MA0546-20

You only really need 0546-20

If you run the YS on 8.18 to 1, to keep the same rpm, just run the head 59rpm higher.

Wont the play between fan and clutchdriver be wrong if you dont get the other parts?
And also, standard motor bolts are too short, you need longer (which comes with the adapter plate), else its VERY easy to strip the crank-case.

Yes you still need the plates under the engine, and the new collet for the fan. You can use the same 8.18 if it's the SR.

The ratio plates set the gap between the pinion and the main gear. If all you are doing is changing engines, you only need to change the specific OS collet to a YS collet. Everything else will be fine

Everything else will not be fine! You need the YS base plates and spacers, as a YS backplate does not share dimensions with an OS one. MrMel is correct, you need 126-29 and 126-28. The 0546-20 that he mentions is the YS collet, which should have been included in your OS kit. Your kit should have come with 3 collets. One is used for both OS and YS, the other two depend on the engine, YS or OS.

The Ratio plates are fine, but the base plates UNDER the engine need changed.

Hi AlexFong

So, did't you have to use all the three parts, to convert from OS to YS91SR?

MA126-29
MA126-28
MA0546-20

Are the parts 126-29 and 28 only for the YS91ST or also for the YS91ST?????

Knud,

Yes I did use all this 3 parts for the SR engine but, I have a confusion with the MA126-29 "adapter plate", ok the thing is I ordered the pack for YS which includes the 126-28 and 126-29 plates and some days earlier I had ordered a adapter plater for YS very similiar to the 126-29 from directly from MA, when I received them both I got this 2 plates mixed up and I couldn't tell which one belong to the YS pack, because I figured out one is thinner and the other one is thicker but they both has the YS mark on it , first I put the thicker one (also marked for YS) and I noticed the gap in the clutch was almost closed then I remove it and putted the thinner one on it and the gap was much better, I used my Tempest clutch gauge tool and the cool get the same gap so I suppose that's the correct one. Hehe.. I'm still waiting for a second adapter plate from MA for my second BW stratus then I can clear up my doubt.

Knud,

Did you received your ring part yet? I did got my second convertion kit, and guess what, the ring included was the thick one Althouh I did put it on and the clutch gap looks a bit closer but still looks very nice. I will try to post some pics of the clutch units later.

Hi

I have just pickup the package from the posthouse, and it's in the car now.
I'm still at work, so I havn't opened it yet.

I'll get back...

PS:
Is the YS plate 126-28 and 126-19 for both the YS91ST and the YS91SR?
Isn't the bearing and enginehouse bigger on the Ys91St then on the Ys91SR??
