If you watch, they choreograph the moves to the music. Most do ok, but few get it right.

There are no music played for the Known maneuvers (pattern). For freestyle, pilot chooses songs typically in a medley of fast and slow mix to synchronize their routine to the music. Simply put, no music, no freestyle as it is an important part of the performance. You will also notice the orange flag. It is used in a swirl motion to signal to cue the music. Part of the judging criteria is how well the routine is flown in sync to the music/beat.

It's actually pretty cool when you are their in person. Yes it is a little annoying here on line but in real life, it really makes the flying seem more precise if the pilot is in tune with the beat etc. Half of the maneuvers they are doing would be no big deal without the music. When they are in-sync with the music, it looks much more impressive.

Mark,

Projected the HD video on an 18.5 ft wide projector screen. I felt like I'm in Bennett Field, just can't smell the nitro and the feel breeze.

AWESOME !!! Thanks.

The HD vids keep freeze framing at like one frame per second on my WMP but the smaller vids are fine.

Anyone know why??

Get faster connection and PC .

RunRyder's HD quality is AMAZING! Thanks Mark!

I was standing there when they were interviewing Chung. Almost too funny to believe!

Everyone had a good laugh and I think even Chung thought it was funny.
