There are five types of muffler that I am considering for my raptor 30 with the pro 36 engine, have any one used them before? how do they perform? do they last?Are they value for money?

excellance 30hn muffler (US$35)

excellance 30h muffler (US$60)

hatori 222 muffler(US$30)

hatori 337 muffler (US$50)

ark muffler (US$15)
Have any one use them before?Please only comment on these mufflers, i know the weston one pipe is very good, but it is not available here.

I use the Hatori 337 on my Shuttle RG. However, I don't think $50 for a 30 size muffler is practical anymore with so many good manufacturers out there making mufflers (and for less money).

It just plain works....

The weston seems to put out good power, but after awhile either the header breaks from the vibration.

I have one of the mufflers with the rubber bit in the middle. After a couple of months the rubber was burnt and split. I have since replaced the muffler with one like the EX1020 (standard plain looking muffler) It works OK and isn`t that noticably more noisy than the rubber one. (Both of mine were Yusa brands, but look identical to the ones you have posted, and there can`t be thay many people in the world (China?) making cheapo mufflers that all look the same, can there?!

I've had 2 different Raptors at different times. My first started off with a Heli-Max pipe. Ended up with the Hatori. My second started right off with a Hatori. I've know people with the "Upgrade" Thunder Tiger one. It doesn't seem to be a quiet, powerful or have as quick of throttle response as the Hatori. Just get the Hatori SB-8S "337" you won't be sorry.

iv'e used all the ones your thinking of and ive found zimmerman to be better than them all. stainless steel , clean , strong, quiet, smooth and powerfull. yup i like em. BUT they are 60 notes over here in the U.K. so they aint cheep.
