General Direction / General land mark!
From the Whitestone Bridge to JFK Airport. The main route between them is the Van Wyck Expy (Route 678).

From the Whitestone Bridge go South on the Van Wyck Expy to the Belt Parkway heading West.

Go West on the Belt Parkway to Exit #5 Bay Parkway and bear left at the fork. Follow Bay Parkway, go under the overpass and turn left on the service road. Stay on the service road going back East and you will pass an amusement park. Once you pass Bay 44th street or 26th Avenue look for a large open park on the right side (Soccer Field/Baseball Field) and turn right into the park. Follow the posted signs. We are way in the back of the park toward the water.

I'll admit I'm not a great pilot, but I can hover with the best of them.

Dino:

Any chance of reducing one station? I am willing to wait in line a little longer to give pilots to the left and to the right a little more elbow room. Last year, we had to land few times as the helis from left and right stretched all the way over to directly in front of us.

Or you can provide big cones located halfway between the pilot stattions as a flight boundary marker.

red_z06 is "Dino" now officially the one that makes decisions for SRW?

I do not know. I thought he was the CD for the event. Doesn't CD decide on such matters? It is rather strange to throw a question like that at me as I have no idea what is going on at SRW.

Tomorrow's One Day Spool Up is an NON AMA event. (No CD)

You can bring up your concerns at the pilot's meeting or to the Safety Officer or the Field Marshall.

See you all tomorrow.

The highlighted part of your post is the reason your question (or suggestion) should be directed to SRW, and not assume that one person makes the decisions for SRW.

BTW the job of the CD is to represent the AMA and not the club.

When I said "I don't know what is going on means I don't know the command structure within SRW."

Dino stated that he is the CD for the club and events. As an outsider, that statement is good enough for me. So, I directed a valid question to him. Was there something wrong with that?

I posted a valid question to whom I understood to be a liason politely yet you respond with a sarcastic tone.

Was my question out of line? or directing it to someone who stated he was the CD(someone in charge of funflies in most cases)?
Or was it something else entirely?

As I said before, this is a SRW event and not a "Dino" event. If you don't know the structure of "our" club the safe thing to do is direct such a question/suggestion to SRW or "members" of SRW organizing the event. Will it be good enough for you if I told you I was the CD of the event? Again, there's nothing like CD for a club. The CD DOES NOT represent the club, but the AMA.

I wasn't being sarcastic, just making a very important observation. I am a member of SRW, and posting a question/suggestion like that to one member I feel is an insult to our general membership. I hope you get my point.
