Got Jet Fuel? Turbine Helicopters > Kero start question

Hey guys, you help so far has got me up and flying and now I have another question about my kero start I installed in my PHt3. When I have the header tank hooked in line to the main tank I can't get fuel to pump to the kero starter. If I run the pump manually it pumps but when it is autostarting it seems as if it doesnt have enough power to pull fuel through the main tank to the header tank to the kero starter.

If I unplug the main tank and just run off of the header tank it starts fine. I hear some guys don't run header tanks but thought it gave me alittle extra fuel capacity and if I was going to run just the main tankI would have to pull everything apart to drill a filler line in the main tank since it only has a clunk line and vent line now. What options do I have?

doesnt have enough power

Dan,Check your pump start voltage, if it's too low, you can get that problem

Peter, thanks for the info. I did try upping the voltage to the upper end of the recommended range but still had the same issue.

Check that the solendoid valve is connected in the socket the correct way around, otherwise, when energised is won't open and the fuel cannot flow.

If your turbine starts ok with just the header tank, and your pump start voltage is as high as you would like to take it, that suggests to me that you have too much suction on your main tank. I suggest you either raise the main tank position or add another vent and make sure you don't have too many fuel filters to suck through.
