HIROBO Freya - Sceadu - Shuttle > SWM Sceadu? is it coming to the US?

I have just read on the Japaneese Hirobo site that there is an SWM version of the Sceadu. SWM stands for (swash mode system) and it sounds like it means CCPM in English.
Will this Sceadu be coming to the US? Why would someone want a CCPM Sceadu anyway? I really don't see the point in CCPM, but again this pot has been stirred many times before about CCPM vs. Standard mixing.........

Greg,

SWM is hirobo talk for CCPM. I had a Shuttle SXX and it was the same. I have already done the visual cross check between the SXX and the Sceadu SWM. They are nearly the same machine in the control rod configuration. The main difference is at the servo tray.

Jeff Green has told me that he has flown both configurations and that he doesn't see much of a difference between them.

I think the CCPM/SWM convertion kit is there for a guy who has to have CCPM mixing on all his machines. After owning the SXX and flying it, I can live without the SWM kit. I like my Sceadu the way it is.

i saw the setup at the ama convetntion in pasadena and it does look just like the sxx models in setup.

i talked to the two reps that were there and they said that the ccpm upgrade made not that much of a difference. it is over $100 for the upgrade and if you don't have them, some high torque hi res. sevros(aka more money)

i personally prefer regular cp but if you like ccpm go for it. in my opinion the only things a sceadu needs is the dtdt(gonna get it soon)
3rd bearing block, and new tail blades(mains too if you got the 570's)

CCPM

On the back cover of RCM they say that it comes in both configerations, however if and where is it available. I like the Idea of ccpm, less parts and I have lot's of high performance digital servo's ready. So I' m quite interested in this version. My next machine will be a Sceadu.

Sceadu SWM

Hello,

You can get the CCPm conversion for 75.00 all inclusive. With standard analog servos, there is not that much of a difference. At Phoenix and the Hirobo cup I'll have one of each for test flying. You be the judge

CCPM tends to save weight, and you get rid of that nasty linkage slop. Greg T. where do you fly?
