Just manage to put in the fuselage. Busy with decals (still haven't finish).

Still got blades haven't paint, Wire cutters haven't install because running out of paint. Missile too haven't paint.

It is 2am in the morning so cannot test flight it. Later in the morning (9+am) then test.

Painting is the pain in the ass.. wrong color use some more.... But too eager to show you all my AH-1W Super Cobra.

I think you really should spray the windows black inside to hide the battery & other workings. She looks great & can't wait to see a video of her in the air. Where did you get the flybar less conversion & is it stable?

Thank you all

Windshield black... Too lazy Actually I prefer tinted. Rotor head is TRex450 Metal/CNC head. DIY flybarless I tried using TRex450 Metal head for flybarless before, but this time I try something different and now it is the best (stability) 2 bladed flybarless I ever experience.

Replace battery.... The frontal canopy is detachable. See the black colored knob near the jet intake? That is the notch to lock the frontal canopy.

Mechanics.... Mini-Titan but:
Swash Plate = Honey Bee CP2
Swash Plate Follower = Home Made.
Rotor head + Blade Grips = Align TRex 450 CNC.

Video.... I try to get someone to take video on it.

Well done SH, looking forward to the video. Not sure how easy that colour scheme would stand out against the sky?

SH, she looks stunning, very nice indeed. Love the video & the way you broght it up to the camera, well done. Still think its very hard to see against that sky & even the grey buildings low down.
Well done anyway, nice build, great result.

Thanks macsgrafs (Ross)
Well, so far I found 4 types of color theme for AH-1W. U have:
1. Grey
2. Desert Storm color
3. Army green, black and light green
4. Olive Drab (Taiwan Air Force)

#3 is difficult to paint. #2 should be the same as #1 if u fly on sandy area. #4 Easily loose sight when flying on grassy area.

Here is the 2nd video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xK7BprNyHZU
{ Again, thanks to Adrianli for capturing this video }

After edition the 2nd video, I realized that it has a bit of tail heavy that causing it to pitch up during hover. Should have fix the CG by moving the battery a bit further or adjust the Elevator trim.

SH or should I sat ChingHockTay, the 2nd video is really nice. Did you move the battery forward a touch? Can I give you & your friend a tip with filming?? Keep it up a touch higher with those skyscrapers in the background, total urban warfare..looks like a scene from blue thunder, I love it, very well done & flown so nicely.

Hi Ross

Ching Hock Tay is my real name. Thanks for the compliment also. Yes, u can give me and my friend any tips u can give.

I try to fly a bit higher next time. The 2nd video, I was trying to fly as low as possible. U might not able to see clearly in the video but during that time, I was like flying as close as possible on the ground in order to mimic the "Nap of the Earth" maneuver.

I think somehow when I put in the 2nd battery, it is not forward toward the nose. Thus it is slightly tail heavy.

SH, That looks great your flying is very smooth and scale like... I wonder if the trex 450 would fit in that body...

If u talking about stock TRex into this fuselage, I would say not possible because of:
1. TRex boom too high
2. Main gear location is different

To fix the above, u need to heavily modify the TRex body. It may not work and u end up to have TRex body that is too weak (too many cuts). If u cut off the TRex body on the bottom side so u can bring the boom downward and the main gear downward, u all have to consider the motor because TRex motor is on the bottom.

If u using some sort of 3rd party TRex body, it might be possible but again, still have to see the above.

As always, Excellent looking bird SH Loved watching the vids and thanks for the close up pics of the flybarless setup(finally going to try it myself) Those TT fuses are pretty detailed, wonder if they are going to do some other fuses for the mini titan in the future.

May I ask why you substitute the stock parts with those? For look or for quality or performance or all of the above?
