| Well, without a tail rod guide, it flexes just enough for the tail to rock around very unstable in rate mode, making it very hard to find the right spot to mechanically set the tail.
Every other 450 uses some type of guide for the tail servo rod, so its very unusual for the Beam to not use one. If I had the 401 gyro, I probably wouldn't need to worry about it as much, but those who own a Logictech or the new Hitec know how crucial setting up this gyro in rate mode mechanically is for having a killer tail hold. Or else, the tail will bounce around, or had a bad delay effect.
