Hey Rock, that's a pic of my Trex you posted!! GREAT weekend in Windy Wellington we had...I flew the Xtreme too and though it's a nice heli I wasn't so impressed that I feel the need to run out and sell my Rex's.

That wouldnt have anything to do with your being mates with the NZ align dealer would it

Are you northern boys still planning on coming down to the AKA AKA fly in on the 30th?

The trip back was great thanks. Bit long though. Shame the best weather came Monday just as we left.

No, it has nothing to do with being friends with Kevin. In fact, I bought my 600's from overseas whilst I was at IRCHA last year, not from Kevin. I may have liked the Xtreme better with a different head setup. I know it is infinitely configurable and for me personally, I don't think this is a good thing. I want a bird that has a only a few head adjustments available but is basically set to 3D out of the box. I think over 200 available setups is WAY too many.

The Xtreme is a thing of beauty though and it is a rocket in FFF, this was evidenced as Robin hosed me in the drags, but he WAS running 30% Nitro and I was running 18%. I am sure with a different head setting I could get it to fly how I like but I am currently happy with my 600's so the X50 will have to wait for now. I DO need a Trex 500 to fly behind my house in the schoolyard however. Nitro birds are just too offensive and dangerous there...

Yup, I think Ian, myself, Linton and Jonny (if he has a heli by then) will be at AkaAka. Hope the wind stays away this time!

just pullin ur chain bro..

I did hear a few rumours that a few guys that flew the xtreme thaught it was down on power tho. ( A tired motor ), It would be interesting to see how it flew/dragged with a fresh motor considering it beat two vibe 90's an evo frey 90 and a 600n. (I do admit that technique is a big part of dragging tho.)

I couldnt see why someone who already has a 600N would change over just for the hell of it. Lets face it the 600N is an awsome heli, no two ways about it. I do like having something different(being the black sheep )at the field tho...

Im seriously looking at a 500 rex also. very nice size heli for after work sessions. just gota get rid of my 450se first..

3rd time lucky with the wind this time ey.... Catch ya later.

Yeah it was down on power as I had been running on 30% and ran out of fuel on Sunday, When I offered Jagnz a flight I had to borrow some of his fuel which was only 18%nitro, I did a quick needle tweek before he had a flight but it was far from running perfect.

As for the head set up I had limited time to set the machine up for the Wellington event so I got it to where it was flyable for me & got as many flights on it as I could to get used to it.

With around 200 different head settings I'm looking foward to setting this heli up how I like it. Not somewhere near I want it because of lack of adjustment options but smack on.
