Brother Pilots, I have been flying Shogun's since they came out. What I would like to find out ,Is there a real nice replacment Head assembly for the V2 Shogun that will fit and utilize the existing main shaft and V2 set up? I actually think the wire through the shaft operating the pitch is a good Idea ...for General Flight, I would just like a nicer Head Assembly that would be as close to a exact fit as possible. Thanks once again for your input.

As far as a hub that best fits the stock steel shaft, the EF CNC upgrade is the best fit, EF's CNC blade grips and pitch slider are also best IMO though the Microheli pitch slider works just as good and looks better. Though there are other options for the rest (swash, washouts, Aileron lever etc...such as Heliup (best), microheli (great), HDX (sort of worth the money, cheapest solution), EF's version of these upgrades works as well as microheli's for the most part. These EF upgrades are still available through...

Heliup, Microheli and EF are all perfect fit OEM replacements though the heliup Aileron lever upgrade is not and requires some frame modification.

Absolutely, the OEM heads work great between 2100 and 2500 rpm head speed. Watch for wear and eventual binding of the pitch slider. The washouts have 50 hours in a new set before they get overly sloppy.

Its all in the setup. My 9yo and one of his friends fly my stock guns all the time. I've go so many (two 30 gallan crates full) SIP OEM parts for keeping these stockers running for a long time to come.

I simply bought everything from the local stores when they stopped carrying gun parts, picked up every used gun w/spares off ebay and forum sales, basically went on a $2k spending spree through '06 and '07. Most of it I got for around 20 cents on the dollar.
