RJX Hobby Hurrican 50 - Xtreme 50 > Has anyone mounted their servos on the OUTSIDE?

I'm rewording my post from earlier because I see no reason not to mount them from the outside.

But I don't want to spend time mounting them from the outside, and then find out later I have to redo everything for some unforeseen reason.

But looking at it, and trying both options, it seems much easier to mount from the outside, and this leaves a bit of room behind the servo for routing wires later on.

So, has anyone mounted them from the outside and do they like it like that?

Thanks!

Depending on the servo you use, the servo arms/wheels may not properly line up with the balls on the T-levers and the elevator lever. The install looks much cleaner with the servos between the frames. There is plenty of room to run the wire. If you look in my gallery, you can see that almost all my wires are hidden between the frames.

They don't line up with the with the designed geometry mounting them outside the frame, that's why the manufacturer recomends they are installed inside the frame.

No need to reinvent the wheel, they line up perfectly if you follow the instructions

Rock,I run all the cyl on the inside for good alignment and the tail and throttle on the outside. It just works well that way with the setup I am useing.

Clyde,

I hear ya! And you're right - I checked, and the servo horns could rub on the canopy if mounted to the outside. So I will be mounting from the inside.

But the instructions do say "depending on servo type used" and "When installing from outside the servo horn may touch the canopy."
