Crashed? Discussion and Photos > digging for worms with the Raptor

Ever have crash were you couldn't recall exactly what you did to wind up on the turf?

Flew all weekend, trying new things, learning inverted, perfecting loops and flips, then ALL OF A SUDDEN...

I RAN OUT OF SKY!!!

She went nose first at full speed. Not exactly the most "survivable" crash... broke both frame halves, 2 servo arms, landing gear, stripped the 9253 gears, frame brace, plus all the usual "crash kit" parts. If it weren't for all the V1 parts I had I would have upgraded to the v2. As it is, I only had to order frame, landing gear, and servo gears.

Yeah a few times....

That's a crappy feeling too....I can take it if I knew I did it and tried to get out of it, but even though it a rappy it still sucks! Get it going again!! My last one is posted in this fourm....it started the chicken dance in the air a few feet up....BTW those little red worms are a booger! gotta hit em just right to knock em out with the helis Jeff.

Ooh, thats bad. I had a flameout today with my R60 while doing a flip, but mananged to get it back down with minimal damage.
Broken body clip
slightly dented boom
boom supports
and tail case was slightly cracked.

Total repair cost was $30, so thats not too bad. Your picture definetly takes the cake, Daz...

If you think the Rappy is bad, you should see the ground!!

Left a nice Raptor sized crator in the field. I bet it won't be jumping up at my heli again any time soon!!

ok now for a word of advice....

If you ever ram your heli into the ground nose first at 40mph just buy a new one!

I thought i had just broke the frame and gear along with the usual crash kit parts. During rebuild I discover the tail gear housing is fractured, gyro is trashed, tail servo trashed (not just the gears) , and the tail pitch slider is broken

I would have been better off to buy a new kit and salvage the good parts from this Rappy for backup.

Oh well, she's haPpily flying again anyway... resurrected from the DEAD!
