I need to know if you can use a Cylock system as a mixer for a 4-bladed head and will it phase the blades like the Helitronics does? Thanks.

Jkos,

Do you program the Cylock with a computer program or on the unit?

I understand, but does it phase the blades on a 4 or 5-bladed head?

Richard,
Yes, the CycLock has a swash phase correction setting.

I just downloaded a copy of the Cylock CL1 manual and there is no reference to a multiple blade head operation! I am confused, and I really need to know if it would work with a 4-bladed head, as I have an opportunity to purchase one right, but do not want to get stuck with it if it is not going to do what I need done!

If u measure the degree from the center of the blade grip to the linkage point on the swash plate (where that blade grip is connected to), it is 90Degree phasing. It does not matter whether it is 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 or 7 blades.

Most multibladed head tend to have linkages that is not straight line if u choose to use 90Degree phasing. Having linkages that is not straight shouldn't be any problem...but some who prefer straight and sometime some design has its swash plate follower binding if the linkages is not straight. Thus this is where the phasing offset from mixer comes about.

Richard,
The CycLock does not care how many blades are on the head. It will do what you need. Download the software and you'll see the phase correction field.
