| I have a heavily upgraded XL ST and I am now contemplating the SE style servo tray kit. The ST's collective push/pull is not the greatest and the plastic servo tray is not all that stiff. Not to mention the aileron rocking servo is not really all that stout.
The SE tray is really good-looking, but is it all that great? Is it any lighter/heavier than the old plastic tray setup?
I do know that it includes the 20oz fuel tank which is a plus. The arrangement for collective is much better on the SE tray as well.
Please, any comments? How is it in a crash?
For my ST to be an SE, all I need is this tray, the split gear, and the "super-tail", which I am wondering about as well. (well, actually the metal fan too, but ....)
My ST weighs out at precicely 9.7 lbs, dry. I don't want to weigh it down with things that don't do much for the performance.
