Flybarless Rotor Head Systems > servo recommendations for Flybarless

Just a basic summary question: what cyclic servo parameters are most important, speed or strength. Does anyone actually see a need for stronger than average servos (ie. stronger than Futaba 9252's). I'm only speculating here because I only have a few flights so far on my Trex 600 Vbar'd(and will maiden the Ion-X2 Vbar'd this week), but it seems to me that servo speed would be not as critical, (since the Vbar system controls servo speed as needed to maintain stability). Does anyone with lots of flight time and tweaking have empirical results for what class of cyclic servos we should be using?

In the V-bar wiki they say that the faster the servos the better as there's less lag in the control loop, much like a tail servo.

I'm using 9351 @ 6V, it's not extremely fast, but it's working well.

The speed vs control loop makes sense. How about strength? Has anyone noticed average servos not being strong enough?

Stength and speed go together like a horse and carriage. I run Airtronics 94758 on my other 600N (they are wicked fast), but even before the conversion I didn't notice any speed lacking of my 600N with 9351, and that's because they are stonger than Airtronics and probably as fast/faster under load. If you want the best of the best, I believe JR8717 are the ones for V-bar
