Wow, finally I have ordered my first heli!!!( feels good )

I odered a Sceadu .30 with O.S .32 ring engine.

My next step now is to save money for a radio and gyro.
And here is my question: Witch model shall I choose?
Since I live in Norway I guess I buy me a Futaba( it`s most common here). And witch servos do you guys recomend?

Hope someone can help me.

Well

Going with Futaba is good, BTW the JR system is Graupner.

If Futaba try to get a good 8 channel Heli radio. Since you are in Europe there are some tray styles that are good. Also you can get the smaller style as well. Find the one that suits your budget. Futaba Servo's.. I'd say 9202's all the way around except tail. The without a doubt get a 401 Gyro with a 9253 servo. Those are the best for the money items. European items do tend to cost a bit more I would suggest buying from an overseas store to save some extra money.

As for JR/Graupner I'm not really sure I know most of the model numbers are different between the stateside stuff and Euro stuff so it's hard to say. I'm not a JR/Graupner user.

I second the 401/9253 suggestion. It's great performance - incredible performance considering the cost of the gyro/servo combo.

The Futaba 8U is a great radio, and JR's 8103 (3810 in Europe) is also a good pick. They're pretty comparable, feature for feature. If you're on a budget, look at the Airtronics RD6000, but ignore the Futaba 6-channel systems, you will outgrow them VERY quickly.

9202s are, in my opinion, overkill for a 30. Regular ball-bearing 3001s worked fine in my Concept 30. It wouldn't hurt to put a 9202 on collective if you want, but don't hurry unless you're into 3D right away.

I'm using 9202s on cyclic in both of my 60s, and a 3001 on throttle in one of them (probably in both of them pretty soon). My Concept had a mere 3001 on collective for years, worked fine.

I`ve now found two offers witch I find interesting.

1. 8UHPS PCM with 5 9202 servos for 599$

2. FF9CHP with 4 9001 servos for 649$

Does anyone has some advice witch will be the best buy?

Which radio to get?

Hi Helge, I'm not familiar with either of those radios, but, I read a post recently about a recall on FF9 radio, just be sure you get an updated one if that's the one you want. -------Barry.
