Hey-
Wondering if there is a mod out there for a belt/motor installation, not for the tail rotor, but for the motor to the main gear. I've got a shogun that I'm going to bring back from the dead, and I want to know if anybody knows of an easy way to connect the motor to drive the main gear. Why? Well cause it should be quieter. Any advice would be appreciated.

Heliman-
Yeah, I could have sworn I've seen that somewhere too, maybe it was for a 'rex, I'm not sure.I'll keep looking myself. By the way, since it's been a long time since the 'gun has been flying, are people still using the hs56 hitec servos? Anything changed in the past few years regarding mods?

Yeah, thanks heliman. After thinking about it, I think the mod I saw WAS for the 'rex. Thanks for looking though, I appreciate it. Maybe it's time for me to tear into it and see what I can do.

I'm working on a Shogun BasKitCase and haven't come across anything like that for the main drive..... Anything change probably not, but a post by futuramillea a few weeks ago called shogun endangered species listed some current resources for OEM and Upgrade parts.........

I also have a hubdave belt conversion for the tail. I was thinking along the line of a belt from the motor to the drive gear. I'll nose around the web and see what I can find.
