What type bearings in the main blade holders are in the current kits? I see on the Beam website they label the BMH 421301 blade holder as having thrust bearings but show ball bearings in the illustration.
Also, in another forum they mention both types.

Any body has some pdf manual that shows the placement of those thrust bearing? I don't have thrust bearing in those neither do I have the part number... I have both type of blade holder (long and short neck) but would like to have the thrust inside!

thanks

PS: Event the picture on Advantage does not seems right...

Thrust bearings are outermost in grips.

The thrust bearings go in outermost on the spindle then the nut on the spindle. Mine came with the larger holed race already in the blade grip all I needed to do was grease up the thrust bearing cupped side of the ball cage and insert it cup side facing IN so grease gets pull outwards (same for all thrust race applications) then put on the small hole outter race and then tighten down the 3mmm nylocknut on the spindle.

The description says these are the grips with thrust bearings but the picture doesn't show it:

This is the point I was bringing... but it is also the "old" grip design, has the new one has a "longer neck" like the one on the right :

Probably just the web site is not up to date... I don't see why they would continue distributing 2 types of blade grip... maybe just drop a line to Len before ordering to confirm you are getting the right one and that the grip does contains the bearing itself...

Otherwise, you have to get the thrust bearing appart and that requires a part number

I understand that main rotor grips with thrust bearings are standard in USA but option for other countries.

That's it. We are undesirable aliens ;-) I complained to BEAM USA (and ordered the thrust bearing ones ;-)

Regards from discriminated Germany

PS for BEAM USA: You don't know Germany? You should! WE invented RC-Helicopters and we like thrust bearings ;-)

Hi ! Avronaut
If you order Beam E4 from USA, the main rotor grips with thrust bearings are standard as shown on AdvantageHobby.com
