watch out. after you get one you're screwed. i got my late grandmother's name (who helped raise me) on my left inside forearm and after that i thought what the heck i got one that shows. now both arms are sleaved and have a nice back piece i'll get some day. to much money to be spent on helis at the moment. tats are backburnered.wish that was the first time i'd been called a bad influence. my friend and i were in the shop playing with our helis and his wife came out and told him they had company coming time to shower up and i felt like eddie haskell or something.

G&L ASAT: I think I'm the only musician I know WITHOUT A TAT.

Friendly neighborhood bass player here. Not only am I also a tat-less musician, I'm probably the only bass player you'll ever meet who didn't start on guitar, get frustrated, and switch to bass.

I never wanted to be anything except the thunder from down under; the boom in the room; the "Heavy" in your Metal;...you get the idea.

I do play rhythm guitar, but only for writing, demos, and solo stuff.

I'm comfortable on guitar.

Play bass at church B/C that's what they need.

Funny how a bass eats wattage.

20 watts guitar = 200 watts bass.

I play bass from a 88 cubic inch pipe organ. Only music I need, until I stop off at a biker bar to show off my tatts.

Bass player here.. by choice. Can't beat standing in front of the speakers, and feeling that low down vibe.

Been trying to learn six string just for fun. I don't care for it as much.

No tats either.

And the V-Twin is 80 cubic inches.

[

I tend to stay out of biker bars though. I'd rather be out riding.

I think we have a disproportionate amount of musicians and bikers here.

Maybe RC helis attract a certain type of person.

Oh I dont stop often at bars 2old My harley is an 06 I didnt get to ride much yet this year my bike was in storage for a couple months till the floodwaters went down. But I did just change my oil at 22,500 miles. Hows that for ridin? As far as the musician thing I can read a little music taught myself a little guitar from a fret book you know the beginner book with numbers for the frets? And my daughter is learning trumpet so I just picked it up and learned a little from it. There is actually a post in off topics I believe bikers with heli's My wife also has a buell blast so we can both ride on occasions.

No musical ability here. Motorcycles, well sort of. I've owned a number of them sold the last one shortly after getting married. I still have my endorsment and think about getting another one from time to time. Last year a group of us rented Harleys in Vegas and rode down to dam, then up the road along Lake Mead. We came back through the Valley of Fire. Stunning country side. Total ride time was something like 8 hours, which included a few stops along the way.

Tryan,

I (sadly) haven't gotten near as much riding time this year as I usually do either. I've just been bound up with house/home/work/family commitments this year.

Need to make a 100 round trip to the new property today though, and I'm dragging the bike out of the garage.

22k on an 06 HD. That's some riding! Good to see an HD get ridden' and not just parked in front of the local biker bar.

The VTX is an 04 with 30 k on it. But.. it's been a slow year.
Maybe it needs a trailer so I can put the helis in there for the trip to the field.

Got one flight in during a light rain. All CCW circles. Since the hardest CCW circle is always the first one of the day, I'm trying to get at least one flight in per day. Based on stomach twinges alone, the last couple days, things have really improved.

Oh and the Cellpro 10s arrived today. I only have one fully discharged pack so I won't get to fully test it until later in the week.

I'll help get to 100. I'll start with this space-filler post, and a video is uploading to POO-Tube right now.

Diggin' the hatcam. Witness a breakthrough, for me, anyway - the first times I have flown a CP heli nose-in and done circles in the friendly confines of the trailer park without crashing. I crashed the King every time I tried nose-in or full circles. Never tried with the CP2 or MX400. Used to do it all the time with the FP, but for me this is like engaging warp drive while still within the solar system.

Excellent stuff there Shiz. Nose-in and circles are a HUGE step. Once you get fully confident with those you'll own upright circuits. Go anywhere, turn any direction. No fear. Nice work.

BTW, I'm liking the hat cam as well. Its working surprisingly well. Follows the heli everywhere it goes. The occasional tilt is small price to pay.
