Flew my BCP/HBCP2 hybrid today. What a difference after flying the King2 and the belt Cp for a while. I forgot how lite the bcp was. I still think it is a fun little heli.

Bad bearing or no, I ran a pack through the Mini today. I got my new s3115 tail servo setup and it seems to do well. But like always, it is just to windy for me to have fun with it.
how much difference makes a good digital servo in the tail? i'm a newbie and the hs 55 is enough for me with gy 401 but i would like to know what would be the performance of a good tail servo. digital or not, just a good servo for the tail=)
The 55 is a good servo but doesnt really hold up well as a tail servo.
Try a Fut 3153 digital. I fly them on my Rex and MT and work very well.
I plan on putting on on the King very soon.

flew my syma FP around the backyard, managed to crash into the neighbors house, awesome chicken dance, bent the skids, but flew it right out afterwards

Gyronut is it about the servo strengh or speed?
Another Purple Bling warrion will join the team...
My HBK's swashplate has to be replaced because the screw of the pitch controller won't hold because the plastic broke there. or it became loosen whatever... so to avoid buying parts i will make the belt cp purple head on with the complete head set i have here and switch the plastic head to the HBK2 =>
hbk2 will be my experimental helicopter ihih

The s3153 is a digital and the GY240 won't do digital. That is what I am fighting on the Mini and that is why I ended up with a s3115. It is a mini servo (not micro) and is bigger and stronger.
i have a gy401 in the belt cp and 240 in hbk2 i know that. but i cant afford to make any upgrade at the moment maybe next month or so=) anyway the tail is holding fine with the hs55

I just ran another pack through the Mini. Man flying is fun with LESS wind. There was a slight breeze but that doesn't bother me after all the wind we have had. I still can't get over how much power the Mini has, I have to be real careful with it. I think I will take it to the nearby park when I get another nice day and stretch the Minis legs a bit. Right now I have a roughly 20x20' area to hover in and I am continuously worried I am going to end up in the side of my car or the power lines or the neighbors trees. I want to start working on FF and I just feel like I need more space.
tjinguy i found out that flying ff in a wide are isn't skill at all because i can throw the helicopter whatever the way i want and as long as i don't roll or flip by mistake it won't fall. so lately i haven't gone to the field. so not going to the field i will have to fly in my backwards and make my ff practice more accurate. i have to worry flying a 15x10 area with cars and trees. that way i work my brain a lot to concentrate not hitting anything. when i go to the field once a week i just do some free foward flight because thats stress free in a wide area. i really want to improve so i'm creating some king of hardworking practice. i don't like using the simulator that much for basic practice. maybe later with some 3d maneuvers, but that will take its time=)
i will really say for you to master side in orientation then you will be able to do slow ff in small areas and some smi-stall turns... by the way putting up a stall-turn challenge would be fun=) at least is easier than circles and nose in hovering

daily flightI live in ny and its always cold and windy so I wait for night when its calm, or calmer have to wear shades to keeps the eyes from watering even on calm days its still cold I ve flown in -2 deg fer anything to get some time in but in the end the sim is still a good escape from the cold nothing can replace real stick time though if you can get past the shivers lol
the added weight in the head made a better cg. the tracking problems gone away. its more responsive and sensitive.
i'm truly satisfied specially because my tracking problems had gone away... i'm also using carbon flybar paddles, not sure if this makes it better or not. i still get some vibration but that's because of blade balancing. i hope i get my carbon blades soon.
my packs are all discharged now so i will rebuild the hbk2 with the plsatic head i had in the belt cp=)
