I just finished adjusting my hbk2 and replacing main gear and spindle shaft.

the xtreme plastic blades are perfectly balanced out of the "box"

i would use them while not ordering some new wooden blades.

i took my hbk2 for a final testflight to adjust the tail servo and heres what happened as soon i took off the ground:

MY ROTOR HEAD TURNED A FLYING SAUCER FLYING FOR ITSELF!!!!!!! OHH MANNN!!!! THESE THINGS ONLY HAPPEN WITH ME LOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLL

last post i said that i never broke a piece in a rotor head. now the only thing that survided was the swashplate and flybar controll arms. i guess it's time for a new order. main shaft and some plastic pieces needed

by the way the broken rotor head flew for it self until it hit the roof and the helicopter almost didn't left the ground. =S

well i will go all purple with the belt cp. i will keep the king with plastic=) i think i will crash a few more times while i don't master all orientations. i use the king to practice and fly here in my backyard. the belt cp is to fly only what i have mastered. and yes it was exciting. it scared me out a lot when i saw the blades flying for themselves

AH my mistake it was the rotor hub set that broke. the main shaft is ok i thought the main shaft had broken along with the rotor head but it didn't bent or broke =)

it was very cold here and the crash may have cracked the plastic

i have here a complete head set from the bare bone kit i ordered last month. seems like i have all the parts needed to fix it without having to order anything yet NICE!

That should be a lesson to use all. Next time you have a bad rotor strike, check the hub well. Maybe even tug on it a bit to make sure it is fine. This is definitely important when it is cold out.

At its coldest we get -20C with blistering wind chills so it can feel like -30 cause its pretty flat land here the wind just rolls through from the north. Ive only been as far south as Ensinada Mexico in October. But I here a lot of great stories from South American customers mostly Brazil they are growing very fast. But I do remember sending some Television transmitters to Portugal. I would like to visit South America someday I like the culture and those slender long brunette women.

UT have you checked out lipos for your radio yet you could solve that radio problem? fast charge the radio just like your flight packs with the same charger.

hm can i use lipo packs in the futaba 6ex transmitter? had no idea. i'm using the stock battery pack that came along with it. it takes 12 hours to charge. so what would be the recommended type of lipo packs for the radio? that means i will have to be careful with the li-po pack and not overdischarge it
