Mostly Fender, just LOVE the MINI

120 deg is not that bad when its 90 deg to start with.....I just put a MT SE motor in mine,WOW this thing ROCKS.I'll try to get some vid with the new motor this weekend

I have found that ambient temp has a LOT to do with it,we finally had a break in the heat/humidity and the motor/esc/batts are so much cooler when temps outside are in the 80's with lower humidity

lower temps and humidity here but isolated thundershowers up to 12 inches rain 40miles away 1.5inches here good thing the river doesnt need any more. It took me 2 packs to trim the Rex out after the crash and I think I found a problem with the REX no wonder my autos sucked I didnt have a one way bearing? The oneway would stick with the main so thats where I was loosing all my headspeed.

But now I gota order king parts I gave up on the walkera #3-4B I need a $150 in parts for the king I gotta do one project at a time.

I have the same problem.

I could bore you with all the stuff I want.

Is there anyone here that doesn't want a Skytach?

Well, after 2 paychecks (4 weeks) of pretty much nothing, I splurged today and killed my budget for another month. Got a second battery for my Trex, a set of ball-link pliers (how did I make it this long without them?) and some EC3's for the battery.

Got one sedate break-in flight with the new battery just before dark. No sign of the BugMan today, so I'm stuck with an odd number of nards 'til he comes back around.

no skytac for me I deal with test equipment 10-12 hours a day 6 days a week. I'll always take the simple route. But I would like a full home weather station the one with the anemometer to tell you windspeed average gusts an max speeds. Is that a little crazy?

Shiz, You won't be sorry you bought that battery.

Exactly what did you buy?

Tryan, that's not a crazy idea, Small weather stations are really affordable now.

Thunder Power 2200/25C Extreme V2 - same as I had before. I could have saved $20 and spent $5 on shipping ($15 savings), but I had to have it NOW.

I'm going to try to favor the new battery until it has about 30 - 35 flights more than the first, and then cycle them evenly.

Got 7 flight in on the Rex this evening, I hate to say it but I am getting to like the Rex. Also I've got a new flying buddy who runs a rex and a B400. He is an Ex Planker (20 years plus) he first tried a heli in December this year and is already inverted, makes me sick with envy.

Not at all. I have one. I currently have the wind speed sensor at flight level, but it seems to be undereporting the wind speed. I've never seen it above 10mph and usually below 5mph when my heli is being tossed around like crazy. I'm thinking of mounting on the top of my house but I'm not sure what home owner's associate would say to that

just got back a litle while ago, flew 5 batts on the MT.....WOW the new motor ROCKS,the power is awesome and the cyclic is WAY faster now, flips and rolls are much faster/cleaner.I have to get some vid so you can see the difference.Flight times are down a little but thats to be expected, you have to trade some flight time for performance like this

I think next time out, I'm going to have a little go at some tic tocs,we'll see how I feel when I get to the field

I flew my HBK2 in 8 - 15 mph winds tonight and had a blast! I'm currently uploading videos of this evening's flights. Stay tuned.

Difficult question. in his hands it flies well, looks smooth and quite, turns and piro's are sharper and cleaner than my Rex but that is also comparing pilots so not a fair comparison, I am looking forward to seeing him fly his Rex, it is down right now waiting for a servo.
Looks ? In the eye of the beholder, to my eye, the Rex has a slightly larger presence, mainly due to the larger canopy. The Rex is more roundly finished, giving the overall impression of better quality.
He ditched the 110 Gyro and got a 401 apart from that I think it is stock, flies well.

I didn't fly today. Instead I laid down landscape fabric and 5 yards of bark. Tomorrow I'll put down the remaining 15 yards of bark.

Haven't flown today yet but I finally have a pic of the 600N.

Notice the ball on the tail fin.

Before I installed the ball, it stuck in the lawn so hard, at take off it pulled out suddenly and almost made me crash.

I copied the idea from the guy that had his HBK2 REALLY lit up.

It's also good for not letting the tail rotor get hit.
