| It's definitely time to get back to basics and learn to control the heli with precision instead of using speed and altitude as a crutch to help pull out of sticky situations.

thats a REALLY bad plan.(using speed and height)..nothing replaces orientation confidence, learn every orientation WELL, and no matter what happens you can/will recover, its a well proven plan to get skills, your way leads to frustration, and too much money spent on UNNECESSARY repairs....if I had a dollar for every person that came on RR wanting to go right to the good stuff without putting in the proper time, that eventually quit or got disgusted,I might be able to afford a t-rexSEV2
you have to see the long term.if you are down every other flight for repairs, you are spinning your wheels. But take the time to get the hovers down and the crashes get few a far between, and then the good stuff comes...fast and WITHOUT crashes
this summer I decided I was gong to work on flips/rolls and inverted after spending ALL of last summer doing ONLY hovers.....and so far I have 3 total crashes of which 1 was pilot error....thats it, 1 pilot error crash, and now I can flip, roll and hover inverted(nose in)
