MMike $99 seems fair since it costs here 60-65 euro.
The biggest downside is the poor quality(but Im used to a DV camcorder ) and lens seems a bit sensitive to light changes,if you move from shadow to bright it delays a bit and image seems a little dark. But we cant ask more from a 1.3mpixel tiny camera.
Menu navigation is a bit tricky at begining but with time you get it.
You forget all this downsides when you mount it virtually anywhere because its light ~30gr and with a 2GB SD card you can record plenty of time.
Theres also the ability to mount a servo on lens, but havent tried yet.
For this price and if you like rc onboard videos this is a must.

I decided the Belt CP would be my first heli. First flight went well today...spent months crashing on the sim and manually going over the process. I'm hooked...need to get more batteries

flew 2 of the worst packs of my life. Its the calm before the stormabsolutely no wind dead still. Although a thunderstorm with hail and 80mph winds are a hour away prepare for this one you easteners a whole band of storms sweeping across the country. Well back to the flying I had bugs covering my body I couldnt even see the helicopter I was swatting bugs with my left hand thanks to a HH gyro and blowing bugs out of my nose. When they were in my eyes I would land and get them out and fly a gain this went on for two packs. Should of stayed in my front yard would of got more flying in.

I guess since everything came back in one piece it was still a good day.

I haven't touched my radio since thursday and I gotta tell you it has been on my mind. I went camping/fishing with a friend for 3 days and just got back to 20+mph winds. Damn spring!

After reading about Blu and his Mini, maybe next week I will get the Mini out and hive her a run or two. I want to try the new 11T pinion and see how it flies.

So What were you using? I had 2 choices with the REX 11 or 13. Or are you just using a steel pinion or something the same size?

Just burned a pack in the King Ranger. Indoor hover shes a handsoff heli again. I am really starting to love the MX400 blades the more I use them 292mm really provides some lift. their cheap like E-Sky blades but all you have to do is mount a set of Esky holders on them and their ready to go.

well, i need to get back to daily flights again, built up my ego on the sim which lead to bitter defeat in the back yard, cut the lawn in several spots really well though, tail rotor has a lovely hint of green as well as the main blades, need to look over the heli a bit closer, xtreme blades did well considering i'm all thumbsno damage to report, just gotta shack the rust off my thumbs

tomorrows project list: check out heli, nose to tail, recheck everything from nose to tail, make sure i'm wearing my glasses when i recheck my rechecks, stay away from the sim, work on the basics, work on the basics some more, and when that's done, start all over

i suck at this, but having the time of my life with it!

Tryan the Mini ships with a 13t and 15t. I have the 13t installed but it makes a lot of head speed and that makes the heli really fast, especially in the collective department ... that thing will climb! Also I grabbed a steel pinion cause I am getting a tiny bit of wear on the 13t. I am also hoping that it adds a little run time because right now I am getting about 7min and everything is nice and hot when I am done.

I've had 115 flights in the garage working on my toolman piros. Though I haven't mastered them, I've accomplished what I set out to, which is to be confortable in all orientations. The weather has been nice in Seattle, but quite windy. Tonight, just as the sun was setting the wind calmed and I decided to have a coming out of the garage party.

After so much time in the safety and calm of the garage, it was quite intimidating to be in the open sky again. There was a slight breeze with ocassional gusts. Something I haven't had to deal with in 115 flights. I only had time for one flight so I used it to get comfortbale being outside. I reserved all of my garage tricks until my knees stop shaking. The flight ended uneventfully and with far more adreneline than I expected. Hopefully the weather will hold tomorrow so I can try again.

Well I have gotten 2 batteries through the King today so far. Booth were in the wind and the last was IN THE WIND! Wow that was a lot of work. A fellow planker wanted to see it fly but the wind was 8-10mph with 20mpg gusts. I did fine but the wind did set it down hard a few times. All I can say is that was a long 11 minutes.

Anyhow when I got home I decided to make my king bigger cause it is just too small. So I looked at Raptor 50 kits on eBay ... NOT! ... hehe ... Actually I got my extra Mini canopy that I have had laying around for a while and fit it to the King. It is not a perfect fit but it looks ok. Really it kinda look too big but I will just have to get used to it. If all else fails I can use it on the Mini.

So am I the first to try this?

It'll look fine when you stretch the boom.

I got a flight with the REX that dang gregorr99 he's got me trying to land the REX in my hand now. What kind of guy would put a fellow pilot in that kind of danger?

Well lets just say I can fly dangerously close with confidence. But I dont think Ill be grabbing the skids anytime soon or will I?

I know its stupid isn't it? I did hover over my head today close enough to grab the heli and said thats too crazy and flew away.

Ive always been a bit of a showboater within reason. I mean come on we all are why else did we decide to fly helis instead of RC Cars?

I think its mostly jealousy I'm not able to do a toolman piro.

Anyone can do a toolman piro. You just need(that bad word). Dude im with ya on the sim but to properly learn nose in ill disagree. I never wouldve learned nose in without the TG. I treated it just like i was learning tail in. Actually i got the idea from Doug. Watching his skillz with nose in told me if im ever gonna be that good ive got to be just as good at nose in as tail in. For me im not gonna climb 50 feet to hope that i can recover from a dumb move practicing nose in. All that means to me is a bigger rebuild. No. For me its 2 to 3 inches off the deck practicing with no sim. If i want to practice nose in its go to the garage and do it with the actual heli. No fake bs. Now when i get a little better(couple of years from now) ill get a sim and learn inverted or whatever else my heart desires but for now it would collect dust.
