Is that the R1200RT? That would easily be my favorite touring bike but I ain't got that much cash, so I fly a cheap Chinese heli instead

Yes, bought it last October after I sold my old house. I figured if I didn't spend the $ my wife would, and not on something I could have fun with
FWIW, the guys flying the Trex's at the field today were impressed with the little HBK. I was impressed with being able to fly it well in windy conditions without stuffing it into the grass
I learned to fly on a Trex, I learned to crash on a Blade CP...

Only 6 flights today. I wasn't feeling it toward the end so called it a day earlier than I planned. No time for "show your skills" video today, but soon.

Flew it, crashed it, now I gotta rebuild it. Good times!
Got only one evening pack in around 8 o'clock bugs everywhere I was swatting bugs and trying to fly heli was covered in guts. Never thought Id have to wipe down an electric.

Got 5 packs in before dark and did pretty good considering the wind gusts. Did mostly tail in hover, but ventured out of my comfort zone and did some side in. Still don't have the tail locked in as good as I would like but overall it's alot better than the rate gyro. I even chalked a 1 ft box to see how I would do. Did better than I thought. The last couple times I have flown it seems the hardest part is getting people to stay away. It's hard enough to fly this thing let alone with an audience. I guess i'll be gettin that privacy fence sooner than later. Oh one more thing if I keep flyin in this wind i'm gonna need more parts parts parts

3 Flights today despite poor weather. Nice thing about that is that nobody else is at the field and you can practice practice practice.. without feeling the need to show off
Bummer though was my engine bearings began to show signs of failure... here we go AGAIN!!!

Flew 3 packs today. Tried to stuff the heli into an early grave again. Kept flying anyways. Almost crashed due to loose belt. Kept flying anyways. (hey I am stubborn!) Just before I took off again a HUGE wind gust came by and the there were constant 10-15mph winds with 30mph gusts. An hour later before my local club meeting I flew another battery. The king flow like a million bucks, smooth and composed. Then another massive wind gust and more constant wind. I handled the 15+mpg gust like a champ but then the 10+mph constant wind and pending meeting made me quit.
In the end today was a mixed bag.

Yay! The King lives! Got it back together with HS55 servos, new feathering shaft, blades, and repaired the tail slider. I'm also using the modded Falcon 3D canopy 'til the new one gets here.
Since the CNC slider was pulled apart, and i had a TRIX slider just lying around, I got creative.
Second trimming flight after the reconstruction:
Still needs some tweaking, but it's pretty close.
