I flew 3 batteries at the gym today and man things were clicking nicely. I just hovered but I was getting more and more aggressive. I did lots of climbs and piros, and even got to show off to a group of preschoolers that wandered by. The adults asked if they could watch from the bleachers and soon I had 15 3-4 year olds owwing and ahing every time I did anything. Then one lady came over and asked if she could show the heli to the kids, so I handed it to her and she told all the kids not to touch and they listened so well! The first kid to talk said "That is orange" and another then responded with "The other one is white, why are they different?" (mfcrash's heli). Cute stuff

Way to go Chris

Get them addicted to helis while they are young You'll have them talking about helis for weeks. I think I'll buy air hog stock.

Every kid wants to fly my neighbors when I was a kid were into free flight planes (in the fifties) I wanted to have planes so bad but we were pretty poor so that did not happen

so now that I'm in my fifties and in my second child hood I have the helis soo where were guys like you when I was little. Just think now YOU have groupies alot of responsibility there Chris

I ran a pack through the king last night in my parents garage. Man is that a small space. Unlike all you other guys, I have a serious mental bloke against flying in small spaces and even though this is a double garage, man does it feel small. Anyhow I have also run a half a pack in the basement. It is bigger but there is more stuff in it, so it feels even smaller. Maybe the wind will die down later on and I will get to fly outside some, time will tell.

Yes, the garage thing can be a bit hair raising. But if not for my garage I would have flown less than a dozen flights all winter. It seems that whenever I'm available, the weather's bad. And when the weather's nice I'm already booked.

Flying in tight spaces really does force a high degree of precision. Though I've done a fair number of flights in my garage, I'm never really "relaxed". Hovering 3 feet from a wall, nose or side is hard on the nerves. But hopefully it'll pay off when I get outside. It really seems to have worked out for Tryan. Although I think his "hover" spaces were even smaller. I'm still amazed by the living room piro.

Well I now have 3 big batteries of hovering in the house. I have an area about 10'x12' with a big part of one corner cut off to use and it works well. The buffeting is annoying but I am getting better at know what the heli does where in the room. I am definitely having to increase my control in order to keep the heli safe but so far it has been easy.

After my second battery I decided to grab my camera and see if I could get a nice pic of the heli on the pool table ... well I took like 50 photos and here is the only one I like.

Mini Titan Second Flight

One battery in the Mini Titan. Second flight of the mini titan. after that flight the battery still had 45% remaining, i could have done a bit more. I'm using the 2100 mAh 20C Esky battery but soon i will order a pair of align 325 blades and an outrage xp battery pack 2200mAh 25C for the mini titan and belt cp.

Tjinguy. are you using align 315 or 325 in the mini titan?

here is the video, not very good quality though.

I got one of the few of these that were in stock at HD on Wednesday. It came today and I've run in the King twice. I was worried about the size, but it fits just fine. The second flight was 10 minutes and there was 24% of the battery left.

Ya, you got to jump as soon as you get the email. So far I'm impressed. Its a lot of battery for the money. Its smaller and lighter than I expected. As for performance, I've only run it twice, both times just hovering piros in the garage, nothing that would be hard for good battery. Both times the battery came off the heli fairly cool.

I'm going easy on it for the first 10 cycles. I'm not sure if there's anything to the LiPo break-in thing. But its raining and I'm working on Toolman piros so it works out fine. I'm charging at 1c until charge #11, then we'll see how quickly the Cellpro can fill it.

i'm still thinking if i'm going to order just one or two. depends if i get the radix blades for the mini titan or the align 325. some guys are saying the align won't track well in the titan plastic head.

Down again. Why didnt I order the obvious after my last crash? I dont know what happened but my belt jumped off track and broke. Nothing like watching your heli piro uncontrollably.

nope, nada, not getting any airtime during the week due to my work hours, catching up on house cleaning and weekend projects that have been put on hold, had the batts set for sat morning, something came up before i could get out of the mancave with the king, so she's been benched 'til next weekendtoo windy at work to chance it and the hanger has too many birds...

i suck at this, but having the time of my life with it!
