Back, inside garage again coz bit windy outside.

More side-in hovering still practice, but nose left is much more dificult,to me,than nose right.

Dont be fooled by nose-in to early for the real thing for now.

4 packs after work (rain stopped play) on the HBK2, Rebuilt after it's argument with the house.
Put on a MicroHeli Swashplate and Washout and added the B400 tail slider.
The difference is night and day, flies much, much smoother now.

All 3 helis are down This is why I need a Rex450 and a Belt, that way I have 5 helis to break before I run out of them. Hopefully I will be back in business on Monday

King needs a motor, Mini needs a tail drive gear and HBFP is waiting on a new main shaft. Actually the FP has been down for a couple weeks cause I was waiting until I needed to make an order to Jags. Well I got the chance

OK

So my calculation is

2 weeks to need enough parts to make an order
1 week shipping
1 week rebuilding

at 1 heli a week you will need at least 4 so 1 spare makes 5 so you were spot on with your estimate.

Damn wind! I hate wind! Of course maybe one day I will love the wind but not today. So there I am practicing my nose in and FF and the wind is horrible! I crashed the Mini like 3-4 times I guess I could have just shut off the wind but it makes it more real

I've had a few beautiful days off spoiled by wind recently, but I know better than to curse the wind.

Around July and August, it gets up to 105º+ with 95%+ humidity (Mom [RIP] used to call it hummaditty), and we get very little wind in the summer. Wind would be nice on days like that.

The more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain.

I hear you shizack we get the same kind of weather in the mississipi river valley. But we can get a cold front from the northwest and cool us down 30 or 40 degrees overnight. thats the kind of weather change that brings in the ternaders.

One step backward to take two steps forward

In a move that is bound to raise some eyebrows, earlier this week, I decided to move from thumbs to pinching. The first "pinching" flight was this morning, outside. I ran a battery and a half, but the wind chased me into the garage. I've since run a dozen or so batterys with the "pinch", all nose-in. I'll probably get 3 or 4 more in tonight.

I don't have a neck-strap yet (it's on order), so I'm doing it the hard way. My fingers feel stretched out, and hopefully the neck strap will help. I'm still not used to it, yet it gives me more control. Its a very strange sensation, feeling more in control while and the same time feeling very uncomfortbale with it. I'm off to the garage for another battery. I'll check back later.

I only got two more batteries in before the end of the night. One nose-in and one side-in, my bad side. Both using the pitch method.
