I had a really good flight going til my son cracked me in the back with a plastic baseball bat. I asked him "what the heck did you do that for?" His reply "It was a bug, daddy." "Son, don't kill mosquitos while daddy is flying the helicopter, ok?"

"OH Come-On", is that why Dar walks right past his King, cuz Ms. Ann, is a red-head. I realy thought it was from that "Bug-Bite", and Dar got "Lymes".........................? Blades are tracking "Spot-On", and waiting for new servos. Front one has a chip in a tooth. Still flying, draging a "Tool-Box", with counter-ballance. Wont be long now. DAM, Slider, you know what Dar dose about them-thAre "Red-Head's".....................? AND, We wont tell-a-sole....! Will We. ?

Did you crash today?

Yes. stupid move too.

I picked up a side job but I was late from my day job. One the way to customer I saw a non posted field so I took fly it around, sun was still out.

fix up the lady computer, move dsl modem and router to different place and get the $$$ and left the place. It was getting little dark but I still got one battery left so I decided to fly on the way back and lost visual and crashed, broken blade, battery holder, battery holder tabs on air frame and landing skids. Super glue the skids, used bigger screws to install battery holder to the frame and put Xtreme blades on.

It was that "one more flight" that did it to ya. At least you got it back together and air-worthy.

I see a few people are waiting for servos and/or gears.........you do know that if its only 1 or 2 teeth that are chipped in the same spot...most times you can flip the gear 180 deg????....some of the gears do not turn very far.....even with full travel both directions not all of the gear gets used...I just did this to my buddy's as his came used with a stripped gear...its working fine and the missing teeth dont come anywhere near contact with other gears now...just a thought

Well today was the first day of flying in the gym and it was glorious. We have all kinds of space and having zero wind is awesome. I ran my 4 batteries through my king and mfcrash ran his 3 through his. I worked on my side-in, a time bit of nose-in and I tried some slow and low FF but I need much more practice at that. My side-in is going well. I can keep decent control of the heli and could probably fly a whole pack nose left. My nose right is not quite as clean but it is getting better.

mfcrash got his heli of the ground (controlled wise) for the first time today. He was finally able to get upwards of 30 seconds of flight before things would get away from him. We definitely need to fine tune his heli a little more

It was a good day with 7 batteries between us and 0 crashes.

Thanks man! I gotta tell you it is so nice to practice in a wind free place. Also that slick floor work great too, especially for the newbie He used it many time to slide like 20ft sideways when things got supper squirrelly! Tomorrow I will give nose-in another go and I hoping to try a whole pack side-in.

Ah, another pilot with a padawan. Sometimes frustrating, usually rewarding.

I'm weaning one of my padawans off the Lama by letting him use my HBFP. He's real twitchy on the sticks, but he got a good bunch of hops and short hovers in today. A few light crashes, too, of course. The last one on the last dying pack broke the center hub, but he has 2 spares. He's out of paddle control frames though.

I got 4 good packs in on the King. Nothing special; just the usual Kingly goodness.
