I've got more 2 liters and twist ties

The weight that causes problems is the ball link and the arm that supports the ball. If the stock piece is plastic, including the ball, the metal one will add alot of centrifical force to the tail. On heli that small you should be able to do a bench test of both tail grips without fear of be-heading or dismemberment.

I dunno about that anyway,
thats kind of hard to do with a 450 that has wheels.

nah just get light on the skids and give forward cyclic at the same time. I do it on my dining room floor.

Thats not really taxiing,

with the big helis with wheels,

You don't even have to go much into positive pitch,

just give it a little forward cyclic

and it rolls smoothly forward.

Dont know what your definition of taxiing is but as far as I know its positioning the craft to a designated area for takeoff marked by a taxi line from the hangar to the beginning of the runway doesnt matter how you do it. And big helis have a turbine and are at full headspeed therefore only need a little cyclic..

Right
but with the big ones you can see it is just moving forward,

while with a 450 it looks like you are just flying really low.

Heres what the Belt will look like if I can make that blue purple.

If I can't get that to work I will just paint the whole thing white,
I liked having a white canopy,
very visible.

White is bad on overcast days!

Gotta have another color to contrast it. Solid colors in general are harder to see get two contrasting colors or three you'll see it much better than white I used red, oramge and white blue pinstriped on the raptor ugly but great contrast. Yellow and blue or purple as is the green and purple. What Im eventually getting at its not the color its the contrast of 2 colors.

The sun was shining and only a 3-5 mph wind so, I managed to get 4 flights on the Huey Mechanics, 3 on the Hughes 500E and 2 on the 600E today.... I still keep getting a resonate type tail wag, Sometimes I get it sometimes I don't. Once the heli is in FF it stops no mater what so I guess it's not going to be hovering much.....

Tom..... No "D" flying....

Flew 2 1/2 packs through the Rex450 today and learned a lesson.

During my last crash rebuild I noticed that the belt was looking a bit stressed, even though I had a spare on hand I didn't change it out. 1/2 way through pack 3 the belt snapped, I managed to put it down but couldn't prevent a tip over so it cost me a fly-bar, main spindle and feathering spindle, and I have to change the belt anyway.

So the moral of the story is that if you think something looks like it needs replacing, then is probably does and laziness will catch up with you.
