FLEW 4 OR 5 TANKS THROUGH THE VENTURE 30 YESTERDAY, DID MY FIRST ACTUAL FLIGHT PATTERN WITH BANKING TURNS AND THEN LANDED AND CALLED IT A DAY!! WHILE I WAS AHEAD IT REALLY FEELS GOOD TO BE DOING SOMETHING BESIDES JUST HOVERING!!! HOPEFULLY WILL GET IN SOME MORE FLIGHT PATTERNS SOMETIME THIS WEEK. AND HOPEFULLY GET SOME VIDEO I FORGOT TO GET THE CAMERA OUT YESTERDAY WITH ALL THE EXCITEMENT OF DOING MY FIRST PATTERN. BUT I WILL REMEMBER NEXT TIME!
IM JUST SO EXCITED TO BE ACTUALLY FLYING!!

Flew the T500 and the HBK2 again today. Working in my nose-in with Racin06 ovals and nose-in half circles. The T500 is still stunning to fly and always impresses. Had it just hang'n there staring me in down, hovering nose in at eye level. It always surprised me how it just sits there when you want it to, but and moves like crazy at the pilot's command. However, the HBK2 remains the King of the backyard and gets more fun with every T500 flight.

Some ok video
I start with a really sloppy stall turn pirouette thing,
and then just fly around fast.

I replaced the audio with youtubes new audio feature,
as for some reason it was all out of sync on their end.

Nice job in the wind. You may not have had a choice, considering how much wind there was - from both directions (no he didn't! )- but I've noticed you like to keep that heli moving fast.

Get a haircut ya hippie .

thanx!

I am actually getting ready to chop it off,
I grew it out as an experiment to see what it was like
to see how people treat you different and what not.

I am donating it.

I am nervous on camera,
you should have seen the three batteries I just did off camera.

OMG!

I own that bird!

Maybe soon

donating your hair? ewww...ayway...

I'm sure we've all done the "heli-walk", sometimes referred to as "walking the dog".

Have you ever tried it while flying nose-in?

This may be a bit boring to watch, but let me assure you - it was nerve-wracking as all get out. Eventually I'm gonna "nose-walk" it all the way around that lot...

I believe I'd have to call in to work the next day so I could unwind...

Shiz,
I am donating to an organization that makes wigs for kids with cancer.

I didn't know that walking the dog was a "stunt"
I have been doing that for awhile,
been working on nose in and side in walking for the past coupla weeks.

Also great flying Shiz!

You didn't need the subtitles,
you could hear the wind in the blades.

I kinda thought it was something like that, but I just wanted to be crass .

As obvious as it seems, I've never seen anyone doing it nose-in.

When I was out there flying, when that happened, I didn't realize that particular gust was that strong. I thought I had almost "dumb-thumbed" it. When I watched the vid, it was like, "Oh - that's what happened."

Shiz, man that was just awesome. I'm right in the middle of polishing my nose-in and stuff like wind gusts, and backward movement really test your skills. You keep this up and your transition to backward flight will be a cake walk. I've been working on backward flight and you know the hardest part? Its flying and turning backwards from a nose-in. With all the tail in stuff we've all had to do, you'll have 2 orietations of backward flight nailed before you even start working on it.

Also, EXECELLENT job keeping that heli right in front you. It not only shows a great amount of control, so rare these days, but also respect for the audience that is forced use the tiny screen on Youtube Sometime video proof is a little hard to decifer when the heli is so small its not visible

Flew the 500 in the backyard at lunch, what an incredible machine. I had another pack ready to go, but a storm blew in and messed up my plans.
