Flew the Exceed G2 yesterday in the back yard and the Lama V3 in the basement. Lama was doing circles around the post in the basement. Post is about 1' wide. Kinda hairy as I loose sight for it around the post. I gotta try doing that loop really fast and youtube it.
Flew the Nitro Raptor cause it was windy today during lunch. This heavy bird does not flip very well compared to the Trex clone so I'm just going to be content and just do normal loops rolls and stall turns w/ it mostly. After doing some flips and some inverted flight, I realized I never switched into 3D and only had -5 to +10 when I had it inverted. Flipped it back over cause I thought my engine was failing. Nope... just too many switches.

A little windy today but I flew the belt anyway. I set up my throttle curves today for more throttle at mid stick but when I took off in normal mode (0-45-75-90-100) the blades were horribly out of track, almost two inches apart. So I adjusted the paddles a bit to make sure they were level and that seemed to help a bit but not much. I reset the throttle curve to 0-25-50-75-100 like I was using yesterday and the blades tracked perfectly again Maybe it's my blades, I'm still using the original stock woodies which have been through two crashes and a chicken dance on pavement so they're a bit beaten up.

Would that explain why the tracking is only off at slightly higher rpms? Those crashes were over a week ago and I didn't notice any change in performance after them. I'll definately replace them soon though, they've always been really loose and I want something tighter. I flew my blade cp with no dampening and it flew so much better that way.

I just checked the paddle alignment and one of them was off by about a degree. These are very light paddles so I'm sure how much that would affect it.

I flew today,
no footage....just fun.

I figured out my vibration issue thanks to a separate post (Thanks Bobwho for asking, and Tyran for answering a purple head question).

The used heli I had (bought used) was assembled differently,
than is shown.

I don't say wrong,
because it worked just fine,
but the bearings were between the grips and the head,
instead of in the blade grips
so apparently inconsistencies in balance were magnified.

Got it put together the way shown in the diagram and poof,
no more vibration.

Whent to the club field. 6 Helis there during lunch. 2 Trex600's, Trex450, Raptor and my stuff. After getting used to flying in over cast days, finally had sun to shine on me. Almost lost the heli twice when it was a distance from me and could not see the orientation. All that black on the heli really makes it hard to see when it's bright out. With the sun behind me shining up the yellow Canopy was blending in w/ the backdrop.

Today there was a red tail hawk that seemed to be curious. A bit too curious I should say.....

Windy as hell today and raining to boot squeezed in one pack behind the building at work. Boy the gy240 on the REX was working overtime in the crosswind.

The only difference between the gy401 and the 240,
is the remote switching capability
right?
