You may want to rethink that UT Esky carbon are 42g but they are less than plastiblades and track way better.

Got to fly one pack in each of my Belt CP's (CNC and stock) this morning. In a slight breeze (5-10mph) I love to watch it come back towards me downwind in slow smooth low pass. I dig the blade sound. After a few easy 8's with the stock heli #2 I decided to air it out a little. Went for a inverted nose in hover and climb out with a piro. Quick loop and stall piro turn and flip. Pretty snappy with the RCP2 CF mainblades. It's still a little slugish so I think I am going with some HS65's on cyclic. Already have a 401 and 9257 on the tail. This lower cost Esky is a blast to fly with less fear of a crash since parts are a lot cheaper than my other 450 and T500.

Fly hard, have fun and take it home in one piece...

that is very strange tryan02. i didn't know that the hbk2 carbon blades were so heavy. my carbon blades of my belt cp, yes Esky Carbon 315mm blades are only 18.8g each i didn't know those smaller blades from esky were heavier than the 315mm blades i have here.

it was just a logical guess since they're both from esky and should be manufactured the same way but smaller.

More phoenix sim for me. I am working on my fig-8s and am starting to be able to do them with some sort of regularity. My biggest problems right now is that when I come out the turn, I am holding back elevation too long and then stalling out. I am getting better though and am starting to think I can do that it is doable on my helis. I just have to try it and that is hard for me to do right now as this is another lake in front of my golf shot. I will progress but it will just take some time. I just how to keep it out of the water

I can't count how many times I buried my heli tail stalling when I got started. I found out I could fly around myself in a circle (me just rotating to keep orientation on the heli) then come out the turn when stable for a little forward flight. Then started a turn after that. It was also suggested to me (by other "expert" flyers) to use less elevator and get used to pitch and aileron to control coming out the 8. I now use a little elevator and more pitch (increase to use less up elevator) and aileron (less aileron in the turn to flatten out the sharpness) to control the exit from a turn. You will need a little more rudder too. This should help maintain forward motion and avoid the stall (especially in the wind). Good luck and have fun.

I will have to try that.

---
I flew two packs through the king today and got the ESky HH gyro working pretty good. It still wanders a bit but it is flyable. I will have to play with it some more. Man I wanted to try my first fig-8 today at the park. I had all kinds of space and just a hint of wind but I just couldn't do it. Having just heard a snippet from the movie Snatch, I must not have "big brave balls" but rather "little minsy fagot balls" in other words I wasn't carrying my big ol' "Desert Eagle point five oh". Ah well maybe next time.

Oh and I all over my TG again. It is nice to be able to try new things and have a small safety net.

Rebirth of the Blade CP

Its windy with hail off and on today. I put the old Blade CP back togther and took it for spin. Haven't flown it since November and after all this time, I wasn't sure what to expect. I will say that it was quite a bit easier to fly than I remember. However with the stock brushed motor and the rate gyro its both quite underpowered and the tail had a mind of its own. Also it was prone to occasional random change of direction, which I think could be related to the stock radio. Or perhaps it was just the factory installed excitement we've all become a little too familiar with

Even still, it was fun to get it out and see how the progression of my skills made the once completely un-flyable Blade something to have a fun with inside. I've run 3 batteries so far and the living room is starting to feel a little cramped. If the weather turns up I might take it for spin outside tomorrow. At this rate I'll be talking about getting a HH gyro and going all brushless

glad to see the real fliers I am slacking the last 2 days were no fly days due to kite weather. and running water lines to icemaker fridge and demolition of sun room to make room for a garage phase 2 of new mancave. Tomorrow forecast 55% thundershowers with 85% evening showers.

Hey Gregor
Get a HH gyro, separate escs, and DD tail for the Blade cp. I followed Tutelar's advice and that heli is quick but stable. It takes a little work but the end result is worth it. I changed the o-rings out with some plastic hose. The stock dampening system makes it difficult to get out of trouble so: go to Dougs windshield washer hose dampening system and then you'll be set
