BBB,
You da man. That was some awesome flying. I remember when you had those yellow Walmart balls on your heli. Now youve gone and passed me up. Good job.

We need video proof around here.

Flew the nitro.

I'm slowing the HS to about 1,300 RPM.

Sedate. Calm. Easy. Non intimidating. Perfect for me.

I used to just calculate. Gonna just guess on the raptor will eventually get a tach. I assume if the OS32 is running right it will hover at midstick like the manual says. It gives throttle and pitch curves and motor tuning is up to the user.

I flew the heli today it was an absolutely beautiful day with no clouds but a bit breezy from the hurricane Hanna aftermath.... It was like riding a bike and I'm ready to get back in the game.... I also have my Gas cat up and running pretty fast so It was a good day all around......

Mike It's still in the setup stage I have new props coming for the cat and hopfully I can get some better numbers up real soon with the boat.... The heli was so easy to fly today that I was tempted to to go for some crazy stuff like flipping it or a barrel roll.... but it was in my small back yard and I didn't want to run out of room....

Tom..... No "D" flying....

I wouldnt go that far T, apreciate the comment, but I lot of what I am doing is putting the heli into a decent FF and basically flying her like a plane in a way. Once I started doing that I could apply more of my knowledge from flying gliders. The down side is is that I need a lot of space. Right now I am working on making the moves tighter at that speed, and then also slowing them down and trying to do them more controlled.

But one thing is absolutely for sure, the ADRENALINE kicks ASS!!!!

On topic note, I have been flying about three packs a night for the last week. Sim time has helped, but nothing beats stick time.

I cant wait for the video from that raptor T

me either I need a couple servo extensions and my quart of fuel should be here early this week. I gotta figure how to tune her up first Im a little intimidated with this thing. Also I got to find a good fuelproof clearcoat an automotive brand to protect the new paint job.

Flew for 2 minutes today. The wind was gusty again but there was small break. Just long enough to lull me out to fly. 1 minute into the flight and the wind picked up again. The heli gained and lost 1-2 feet of altitude as I flew from one end of the yard to the to other. It was almost hard to follow and looked like it was on crack. Up-down-up-down. After two minutes I had enough and didn't want to test the metal gears. The wind never let up the rest of the day, so I spent some time on the heli treadmill.

Yeah !!
Got in 2 flights today it was windy with some gusts but I like the wind

The way I decide if it is too windy is to simply hover if the has to be on a 45* to remain stationary it is way to windy and only the insane should fly

If it hovers in place at say 15-20* I giver heck

Got another 2 flights in
I was being swarmed by these little flies it got so bad I should've landed but I was getting better with my flips & rolls

I finally stopped when my heli went in nose first

Surprisingly the damage is minimal so far bent main, snapped feather shaft and of course the main blades too bad they were carbon.

Have it fixed for tomorrow
