How tough was it to get the lower bearing out?
Its in there tight. I first popped out the top bearing then put a punch through the hole. Tapped it out with a hammer. It'd probably be easer to freeze then heat it first.

Greg, have you sprayed your belt?
Yes. I used tri-flow but I need to get some silicon. Found another possible cause of the crash. The tri-flow had been building up in the boom block and started seeping up the frame gap below the gyro. The gyro tape was coming off on one side. Had to crack the frame open to clean it all out.

I've seen silicone spray fix a "skanky" tail on a King where triflo didn't.

That's weird. Triflow is slippery. But silicone is not as messy. What was the story? Tried triflow first. Then silcone?

By shaky do you mean a vibration? Or a tail that wags?

It was Micky Gilly's HBK2.

It looked like the belt was "laboring" as it turned.

The whole tail was "bobbing" and vibrating.

He had this issue for weeks!

I sprayed it with pure silicone.

Boom! Fixed!

Where'd you get it? I've tried Home Depot and auto part stores. The stuff I got from them has a definite petroleum smell. I'm not really comfortable putting that on rubber. The T500 guys say to use the food grade silicone. Can't find it.

Had a great day today, had the mini titan out on an ovecast but bright and barely windy day.

I have been working on flying the heli nose in at me, figure eights, and starting on nice big circles. That has been the area that i need the most practice in, completing the turns through nose in and around.

Anyway, the first landing must have been in a little depression becausew the tail blades locked and then the heli tilted over. no damage, but just looks bad. The second video i was getting a little bit reckeless and almost hit my neighbors car,

i flew today finally. both my main helis have been down due to crashing the 450 and a nice hot start that shredded the raptor's clutch. i flew all my helis today a few times. (about 20 flights) felt so good to fly again i couldn't stop. hadn't broke out the lama 4 in a while and had fun with it today too. i've adjusted all the way both directions with gain and limit and can't keep my tail from slowly rotating clockwise. even with full trim. any suggestions?

fly it like you stole it

Thanks Mike. I'll pick some up right away.

PAM is food grade, but its not silicone. Depending on which flavor you get its either canola oil or olive oil. They add chemical that thins the oil and an aeresol. That's about it.

MMike, I had sticker shock at first, 60 bucks for a can of silicone spray, but then i say it was for a case of twelve. much better.

Fender, have you gotten any pics of that SE yet? I am jealous.
