hmmmm well I "own" the 3dmpe but so far have only hopped it for a couple of minutes in a small area, and in theory I will become the owner of an MPXLE complete with motor and controller next week done as a swap for my trex 600 pro fully loaded, so I hope to know the answers but not soon enough for your needs I expect. I am however looking foward to finding out

The 3DMP-E is a .50 szed heli and flies on 10s while the 3DMPXL-E is a .90 sized heli that flies on 12s and above. The 3DMPXL-E also uses full sized servos whereas the 3DMP-E has to use the Volz weird sized servos unless you do some modification Hope this helps....Ron

I have both, but am still waiting on parts to complete the 50. The 90 is awesomely powerful in person due to the sheer size, but I have a feeling that the 50 on 10s would be ballistic.

My opinion...

I'm betting that the 10s powered 3dmpe would outperform the 12s XLE heli...

I own a Electric Stratus that is powered on 12s and it still doesn't make the same power to weight as the smaller 50 sized electrics...but the Stratus is also a bit heavy....
