I tend to agree with Tyler on the pipe as I am not in search for performance increase.
The plan is to run a seperate 2 cell lipo with small brushless motor, what I'm unsure about is to how to control the speedcontroller, How do you connect an on off switch on a brushless controller, or better have it start up in conjunction with the motor or throttle stick position, Im not sure if the speedcontroller can get input from the throttle channel without supplying its own voltage, a problem since the receiver has its own regulated supply.
Another option would be to use power from the regulated supply but to use a larger lipo, currently have regulated 5.1volt from 2250 lipo's, can go to perhaps 3300 but would prefer seperate batt.
Anyone has ideas, electronics not my strongest point!

Be a little patient with the video, my canopy is away for paintjob but will get it soon

Hi Stolla

Not sure what fan you want to spin in there but I have a PC fan that you can play with..........

An EDF would probably be the best solution, just run straight from 3 cell through a switch to EDF(no esc) but make sure to turn OFF after every flight.

Hey Lloyd, thanks for the offer, your idea is good for brushed motor but I would prefer brushless, more efficient. Our common friend reckons I can use brushless with speedcontroller and a seperate battery and run it through the receiver as long as I clip the red wire to receiver, I can do this either with a y link to existing channel or seperate channel.
This would be nice as I can either mix it in with existing channel or on its own. The challenge now would be to get the right motor fan combo for min amp draw. The smaller the better. Surely I do not have to run the edf to as high kv's as neccessary for flight.

Yes that is for a brushed set up.It all depends if you want to cool the motor down or sand blast it.......

What one needs to do is mount it under the nose, pionting down,in the capopy blowing out so to suck cold air inn from the back.
