| When I placed my most recent order to JAG, on a whim I decided to get one of the $1 Esky press-on 10T pinions. when it arrived along with my OTHER STUFF, I did a hand test-fit and decided to stick with the Align pinion.
After maybe 10 flights the damn pinion is showing wear. Already. I decided to try the Esky pinion again, this time using a C-clamp to attach it. It took some force, but it went on.
It meshes perfectly, and is MUCH quieter. No crazy grinding sound on spool-up.
So, this is just a long-winded confirmation that the el-cheapo Esky pinions will work with HDX300 motors.
The more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain. |
