Anyone know about comparing the HBK2 to the TREX-450 from a noise standpoint?

Since I live in a condo, the outside racket can be an issue.

why yes I do I can tell you its about the same Rex a little louder. If you got everything setup and running smoothly all bearings oiled It can even be quieter. because it actually runs really smooth as far as the head and the blades make a big difference they cut the wind better than Esky woodies. Im gonna put cut down blades on the king ASAP.

I don't know about the king but the trex is so quiet I fly it in a marina all summer long with no complaints at all.. I go early in the morning before 7AM and nobody even knows I am flying and we have alot of people that stay on their boats all weekend like I do... I also fly on the islands we stay at on weekend and nobody cares or hears it at all.... Now my rc gas boats would get me thrown out of the marina in a heartbeat.....

Tom..... No "D" flying....

Slider - have you ever considered running a line off the back of one of your boats with a spinner lure attached for some RC fishin'? Imagine pulling in a lunker with a gas powered RC boat...

Maybe only suth'rin' folk like me would consider this...

The more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain.

The gas boats run in the 60-70mph range depending on the water. Not very good for fishing for a largemouth bass I don't think...

Slider - At that speed you could just throw a weighted hook in the water and snag the lil bastards before they knew what hit em !

I don't think I would want to hook a 40" northern pike with the gas boat, They would take it to the bottom with them, never to return....

So back on the issue,

We pretty much agree to this?

If a "normal" TREX is too loud, a HBK2 is as well.

The king will be slightly quieter MMIKE. But dont think its gonna be little bladecp or axe cp quiet. Somewhere in between.

If you want quiet, check out the Dragonus. Watch the video and have a listen.
