Last time i was out i thought there might be a little slop in the head. Ive put 3 to 4 flights a day during the week and 5 to 8 flights a day on weekends. No rebuilds or crashes in the last 3 months. I would estimate about 300 flights since any work was done on the heli. I slapped in new dampner o rings and pulled the belt tight again. Man i got a rocket ship again. I guess i couldnt tell that she had gone away so much. I could probably be a spokes person for ESKY. Thats pretty good for a cheap heli.

why the name toolman are you a snap on dealer? sorry back to your post. i think between you and dougs its easy to see how reliable these eskys are. and between the rest of us how user friendly, rebuildable, crashable the seem to be. good work toolman

Thanks for the positive feedback about the plastic head. One other thing that you've brought out is that the dampers are a wear item good for about 200 flights. I wasn't aware of this until recently and was a little surprised that I hadn't run across it before. Esky doesn't sell the dampers seperately but there alternatives like making your own, replacing them with bearings or going with a third party product. In the Trex world they swap these things out as way to tune the response of the heli. With the plastic it might not make that much of difference.

I dont sell tools. But i am a diesel mechanic, although i dont get to turn wrenches that much anymore. In the beginning i had 2 boom strikes. I had the blades way to loose and they were both plus 25 mph wind days. Dumb.

You wouldnt believe how much slop was in the head. I cant believe the handling im getting now. Because i fly everyday, i just didnt notice it. I just correct for anything i dont like. Anyways, Doug said something about using wiper fluid hose. Maybe he can elaborate. I happened to have a ton of Esky parts in my toolbox that i bought a long time ago, so i used the o rings out of a kit.

Sure, Its gates windsheild washer + vacuum tubing 7/64 x 72" hose and it can be cut to desired length for desired dampning (longer=stiffer-- shorter=looser) I like it stiffer(insert jokes here) for more response and much less chance of a boom strike espescially on the lil guys (Blade CP and Esky CP2)
