Hi Guys just a quick question about pitch on the HBK2,I dont seem to be getting enough pitch on this little heli sure I can hover it around but the climb rate is just to slow. Now it is not bogging out, and the head speed is fine, just not enough pitch.Any help on how I might over come this would be great thanks...

What pitch range are you guys getting....eg Low stick,Mid stick,Highstick.....

My heli lifts off at about 3/4 stick....

Mid stick should be zero. With the plastic head I was able to get +13 to -13, although there's no way I could use that much. I just put the CNC head on and am getting +9 to -9 comfortably. I could get a little more but there were some parts of the head there getting a little too close to each other. It would have worked but quite frankly I don't find that much pitch is required. Plus I prefer the finer control a more shallow pitch range provides.

When I had the 9t, punchouts were painfully slow. I recently went to the 11t and its whole new world. Of course my batteries run alot hotter, any amount blade tracking and balance issues are magnified. This is with the Esky 3800 motor.

What pinion, motor are you running? How much pitch are you getting?

If you can't get enough with your knobs, make your two long links longer.Turn them out a few times, make sure thay are even that will give you more pitch...

If I am to turn the knobs

Hi guys Motor is HDX 300-3800 and a 9 t pinion, if I am to yurn the knobs I can get it to take off a bit lower down on the stick, the knobs cancel out at full stick on the jr radio that I am using so the knobs only work around the mid stick range.I dont want the swash to travel any higher up main shaft,It is at its limit now,I will try and adjust the length of the two pushrods and see what happens....Thanks

If I am not flying in idle up mode can I set the pitch in normal mode.I have the pitch set up on idle up but in normal mode the blade pitch isnt 0@ 1/2 stick

I work my way up from the servos. level servo arms to 90 degrees perfectly horizontal so the swash gets full servo throw both ways. (you only mentioned positive throw got negative?) Switch to idleup and look for +/- 9 thats what I got and its plenty. I got the same motor with 10t pinion and its overpowered and speed is great Until I put on the scale fuse then thats a whole nother story. Im experimenting with blades now the MX400 blades were a bust I may of screwed them up I had to drill the blades and put the Esky root tips on they lost tracking and fluttered like they were gonna come apart. Next is gonna be TREX blades cut down to 290mm vs Esky 275mm.

rsking they should cross at midstick you may need to tune your radio pitch curve stock or programmable to make them do so.
