this is an improved version of that model. There have been a number of changes that have resulted in the model having more power in flight + a custom designed canopy.

Anyone know what the common total flying weight of this machine is?

They unloaded the upfront engine mounting to fix the cooling issue and they unloaded the secondary belt drive system in lieu of a standard engine-pinion on main gear system like we are used to. They redesigned the frames around the redesigns and added a redesigned canopy. Other than that it's the same.
So since they have been demo'ing the razor for a couple years will they be demo'ing this new machine for some time before its actually for sale or is it ready to go...
I have been waiting on the razor since I saw it first back in 06...

Mine came out at 7 pounds 2 ounces without canopy. 7 pounds 8 ounces with canopy! Its a light machine! You can feel that in flight too.
This weekend at B-Ham I flew 3 gallons of fuel through this heli. Not a single issue, it is truly a fuel and fly, no stress heli. It just plain keeps things fun!
The servos are direct linkage, really making it precise and responsive.
As for landing gear, its tough. I have had some pretty intersting autos so far and never broke any!

I loved watching Nick fly the heck out of the Bandet. It was impressive to say the least!
I was Spektrum when Spektrum wasn't cool

The way the servos sit allows them to have a direct, tight, consistent throw onto the swash. BETTER than the Vibe 50 or any heli that uses a secondary bellcrank.
Vibe 50 looks nice but JR is not known for parts availability and if you can get them you pay a hefty price.
