One modification to ground the -ve wire, frameset and motor mount, and look where I've mounted the 6200 satellite receiver to make for the best possible reception.

Two of us have this setup and no issues yet, although total number of flights are fairly limited (< 20).

Me, I use triflow on the belt. Im going to try the carbon dry spray on the belt next.

With out the lube Id get hits even in humid Florida. Id try the grounding thing but to make the heli compleatly connected from tail gear box to frame is challenging. Its easier to solve the problem at the source...the belt(ie reduce friction or make the belt conductive).

Berg-7

Has anyone tried a Berg-7 receiver?

I had a 450 that was always glitching and the Berg-7 fixed it right up. It might be a good low cost alternative for someone that already has a transmitter.

Approx. 50-60 flights with no problems. Stock everything, hitecs, 601/9257, Berg 7 and Airtronics Stylus. Align and Fp packs.

Grounded Tail to boom to frame. Esc to frame. Silicone on belt every outing.

I never had any static or lockout issues with mine, AR7000, but I went ahead and did the frame ground and the tail boom ground for preventive maintenance. Have never lubed the belt.

This heli is very nice!

If nothing sucked how could anything be cool?

No problems here either, about 60-70 flights. Futaba FASST system, R607FS rx. I fly it both day and with night gear on. Never an issue...other than my dampeners are going out.

No modifications, grounding, lubes, black magic...etc...

ZERO brown out/black outs. 25+ flights. All stock set up. I use Futaba FASST initially with a 6014FS receiver but I went smaller and am now using the 617FS. Fantastic heli and no issues...

Heli works great. No glitches or anything. I keep everything lubed with tri flow. I am using a spektrum 6100 rx too. I have not grounded anything yet. Tail belt is as loose as I can get it and rx is velcroed on top of boom mount. I have flown in front of the house, in back, near power lines and at parks. I will buy another full setup as soon as I can.
