55 enjoyable flights without even a hint of a problem. CF version with 6200 Rx. Use silicone on the belt once in a while if I think about it.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

No Problem 500

Trex 500 CF with 401 and 9254 on the tail, Hitec 225 MG's elsewhere, MaxAmps 6s 3000 running 6 volts with Trex 600 wire step down for 9254, MAH 425's, stock motor and ESC with DX7 and 7000 and quite importantly silicone on the belt like I do on all my heli's. 30+ trouble free non-3D flights because of skill-related problems! I do enjoy this heli, maybe even more than my 450SE and CF600!

Approx. 50-60 flights with no problems. Stock everything, hitecs, 601/9257, Berg 7 and Airtronics Stylus. Align and Fp packs.

Grounded Tail to boom to frame. Esc to frame. Silicone on belt every outing.

No trouble here. 25 flights.

I've started a thread searching for the guy that sprayed his belt before a flying session and had ESD reset problems.

Not one.

(Sorry, mis-read the thread. No interferance that I know of.

But I will say that I saw my RX lights flicker out a few times, which I'd never seen before on my other helis. I assume that's the ESC not doing it's job well.)

Just learned last night that my ESC was defective. Uncorrectable tail wag, even at high head speed and out of gov. mode. As diagnosed by an Align rep that was on the phone with Align support. The LHS is sending it back for repair/replacement.

That's okay, I'm going to use a different ESC anyway! Too bad it took so much time to get that diagnosis...

NO PROBLEM AT ALL
20 flights and never lube the belt nor ground the frame.

DX7 & Ar7000

Decided to ground the frame last weekend.

However, I decide not to buy another Trex 500. Hopefully, the next one would be LOGO 400

No problems here. Only two flights but Zero problems. Im using Dx7 with 9303 rx, FP 2500 3s in series. 5245 cyclic with 401 and 9254 with step down. Everything else is stock and works perfectly. I will be doing all the grounding for added assurance and Ive just purchased the metal tail housing but havent installed yet. No regrets.

It was a "Brown Out" not me.

Jr9303 with Hitec Eletron 6 PPM receiver with Schulze 32.55K controller, F9650 all around ( Tower out of 9257 until end of 3/08). 50+ flights, 4 crashes (pilot errors). Not a single problem. 4S & 6S setup. None what so ever straight out of the box. The motor runs great. Align 60A controller still in the box untouched (going to use that for Pylon racers). A great perfect size heli for city folks in the San Francisco Bayarea. Very reasonable priced kits and the replacement parts.

By the way, I am still with the original belt, what a surprise. My 450 belt don't last. I still enjoy flying my 450s (I still have several) with Radiex blades - the best, trust me. Oh, the Align 425/430 carbon blades are also great, another surprise to me.
