Pulled out the VE after 2 years (brushed motor controller was toast) and fitted it with an old AXI 22/30/3 I had in my parts box. I modified a 20 tooth car pinion and I was back in business. I have a GY240 gyro & a 4S 2070 lipo. I have a head speed of 1800 rpm. the hover is smooth but my problem is I have to keep constant right stick (rotor) to keep the nose straight, I can pretty much zero it out with the trim, but I would like to get it setup properly.
Thanks,
Tom

Extra Rudder

The change of the motor probably needs a bit more rudder to offset the difference in power output. If you had used the same motor the rudder would have been fine. I would lengthen or shorten the pushrod to the servo to add the needed throw to stop the tail.

you have a gy240 gyro it should hold the tail in one spot unless you tell it too move check you setting on the gyro sound like the head hold not doing it job..You might need too ajust the gain on the gyro..One ? for yea did you turn off the rev mix ?

i hope this heli some
