Motor Mount

I would certainly be interested in a mount also if someone would choose to make them available.... this really looks like a GREAT conversion.... I like flying mine on the 50 BUT there is ALWAYS that chance of a flame out.....
Also does anyone have the link to NHP for the blades???? These sound like they may be a good option to the woods.....I have a season on mine, but they are not as close as I would like for balance..(real close, BUT!!)

Thanks for all the info......and nice conversion....Stan

If there is a cure for this, please don't tell me about it!!!

Can't leave well enough alone, eh?
that's OK, I'm interested in an e-conversion also.

BTW - Congrats on your WRAM show win! Your 500 looked really nice!

Cheers!

Yeah, I Know.....

Thanks Free Bird,

I know that I have it flying nicely, but the more I do with the electrics, the more positives I am coming up with to make some conversions....
Wait until you see my Pegasus fly in the Scout fuselage this season!!!!
And thanks on the WRAMS... thought sure that Butch would take it with the Comanche.... I would have voted for his!!!!! But I did cash the check!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope to see you soon....Stan

Yes, I second that request, pictures PLEASE!!

So far I have all the parts, less motor mount, hint, hint, but I have not even gotten around to taking the fuse off the frame, a motor mount would sure give me this last nudge to get moving. I guess the ordering parts was the easy part of this conversion!!! Love those credit cards!!

Maybe test fly soon!!

If any one is interested I can have these made for $65 each plus postage. They are one piece machined from T6061 aluminum, high quality.

Very interested! What pinion is used and how is it attached to the motor?

Pinion used

Pinion is a 12 tooth unit from Century Heli purchased from Helicopter World in CA, Century part #CNMG512, it has has 5mm bore that must be drilled out to 6mm, an easy task. It just slips onto motor shaft and tighten the set screw after drilling out to 6mm. Except for the motor mount which I had to make this has been an easy conversion so far.

Servo's??

Mine was built with sport servos JR 517's at first and I was able to hover and move it around, but then I switched them out to Futaba 9252's thinking that since most are working through a gyro the faster more accurate servos would work well.... and they do.... I thought that they might be overkill, but I would recommend 9252's for everything except the throttle.....
Mine works fine in full forward flight in winds from 10-15 with little or no problems..... so I would suggest going for the better servos...
Good Luck, Stan

I used 4 JR 4131's, very precise, tight, reliable, strong servos at a decient price.

Picture of my e-converted Vertol mechs.

I can supply the motor mount for the eflyte power 60 to make the conversion if any body needs one.
