I am haveing problems keeping the tail locked.

I was wandering if it is because my CSM 400 gyro is mounted on the radio tray, which is a long way off the central axis.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I moved mine and attached it to the frmes by the servos. I did this because I didn't like the flex of the radio tray and I couldn't get it nice and vertical when strapped in with the radio.

IMO, it really doesn't matter where on your heli in relation to the mainshaft you locate it. All parts of the heli frames rotate at the same rate.

Thanks for your reply.

Where abouts on the the frame have you mounted it, and how?
Did it make any difference to the tail?

Sorry to ask so many questions!

Questions are what RR is about, don't be sorry.
I have a 401 monted between the sideframes on top of the elevator servo with the green goo tape. The tail is locked in awsome. It used to twitch once in a while.
